I've limited my scope now to New Golf TSI, 2011 with huge discount or Used Golf GTI MK5, 2008 with similar price with new TSI 2011. Tough decision. Any 1 can share your personal thoughts?

I wonder why there are huge price different for MK6 GTI 2008 make. Some are selling at RM 150k and some are RM 165k?

Don't think i'll go for new GTI as i'm not willing to spend >RM200k for a car 

I just heard over the radio this morning that Wearnes Automobil Sg. Besi & Ampang having some kinda Pre-registered car sale.. you can prolly go check it out.

Shit, my golf tsi stalled when I was reversing it out of my house. The car just shut itself down before I even managed to reverse it fully and now it's stuck in the middle of the gate.

First thing I noticed was the yellow 'car skid' light with the 'check engine' light and I tried restarting the engine and then the ESP error came out for awhile before disappearing.

Can't even shift gears now and the P gear light is blinking nonstop. Called the service centre and they suggested towing it back. The tow guy only reached after almost 2 hours zz.
Will see how it goes later.

i didnt find out about jetta.. if you call every single dealers one by one, mayb you might get lucky...
i tried my luck by calling up all dealers in klang valley one by one.. (about 10 branches).. got my luck with Hicom Auto Cheras which has 2 unit of 2011 polo, 1 grey, 1 red.. comes with 7k rebate..

did my booking.. now preparing other document.. kenot guarantee can secure the deal as loan is harder to get nowadays..

Wearnes sold their last 2 unit 2011 polo yesterday, but they only offer rebate 6k..

My current Myvi has served me 7 years so I don't foresee myself selling off my next car in 2-3 years. I plan to use it for a good 7 years or more if possible. My earlier concern is the resale value after say 4/5/6/7 years. Say if the resale value is a huge drop after 5 years where the warranty expires. Then I might consider selling it off before the 5th year completes. Thanks for the advice and I have placed a booking on a golf.

The SA is offering me RM2200 for V-Kool Elite. Is this a good deal? And what is the recommended thickness of the film (or the series?) to get should I go for heat rejection+security? Does the ones with security mean that I need to somewhat forego some heat rejection%?

Hello Mac.tay, I got a golf tsi. What's the damage and which 3M tint are you getting? Heard that V-Kool has better heat rejection. Any reason you're choosing 3M?

But I decided to let go the 2011 car being reason the discount offered is lesser than the depreciation value. Now is already end of June, another six month the 2011 car would be 3rd year manufactured. Depreciation would be more than 30k, but discount only 12k.
