Y 1 year?? yesterday I went VW at Autocity, the SA say can get Polo GTI by March. All color available.

Just get update from my SA, Polo GTI is going to increase price around 15k...

For any order as long as ur car is not yet arrive...
But that is only a tentatively decision... but judging from the long waiting list, it is highly possible.

15k cash rebate, plus free insurance, free road tax, touch & go rm500

my sa say next batch is March/april. Then after tat, june/july.

i book some where in jan. SA told me it depends on how many car the branch is getting then only can know whether i able to get on first or second batch. What i heard is next batch coming around 70 unit for Goh brother's branch. And waiting list is over 80...

latest news from SA polo gti going to increase to RM173888. Exactly like wat happen to passat cc price increase last year!

shit! Just receive a very bad news. My car arrive at port. But custom dun issue document for clearing duty. I call VGM and they cant give me an explanation. My SA told me this is exactly like the case as passat cc! First they hold the clearance duty until new price finalize! And i heard the next affected model is golf gti. Can someone verify this issue?

So it takes about a month from the date your car arrive the port until the clear duty date! The thing is I already get my loan approved and signed. Now waiting car to clear duty and get document to register a number plate for my car.

I wonder where they store the car during this period... Cant imagine if few week the car is store near the port. Getting balzing sunlight and errosive sea wind everyday. It would be very bad the the car

Any other new car owner have these experiences also please share.

The hold up is different from normal delay. It is the custom is re-evaluating the price and tax like what happen to passat cc last year!!!

Call up VGM, it is confirm that the Polo GTI is been hold-up since last week due to custom re-evaluation of the price and tax!

So now I have 2 choice:

1. Wait until the new price and tax is announce
PRO: with the possible new price at 173888 for new order while I still have the old price. car value is instant boost up with better resale value
CON: Car sitting at unknown storage for long period of time causing rust problem. (Passat CC owner who got their car caught up last year for 6 month!)

2. Cancel order and move on to next car (or upgrade to golf )
PRO: not getting anxiety and sleepless night for waiting too long
CON: Might miss up a great chance for car value boost up, and might be shorter evaluation time this round
new batch might have better equipment (automatic air-con, leather seat like SG model)


What is your opinion guys? Passat CC owner who go through the same dilemma please share your story.

While I tempt mention 3rd choice would be changing the ruling party to abolish to custom re-evaluation, let's leave that for other tread ya

Polo gti is less sturdy and stable compare to golf. And i doubt u will be getting ur car any time soon. Mine is stuck at port now due to custom re evaluating the price.

Gosh!!! what a let down!!! So so disppointed. Finally the dust had settle. new price for Polo GTI will be 3 door RM166888 & 5 door RM169888. So those who booked their car, as long as they did not get their car, the new car price is affected! Darn, I so so close on getting the car..

Well, now have to start all over again on finding the next car...

first is passat last year, then is polo gti. And word is tat next will be golf gti... Anyway, congrates to those who just get polo gti with old price. I am the unluck one who get my car hold up by custom. Darn!
