230k hmm.gif

I'll 101% go for BMW F30

VW is more like common car brand. Audi is comparable with luxury tag.

of coz below 300k you won't get that spacious. but yet, I would go for 171k passat

look 90% identical with passat CC = price 30% higher rclxub.gif

So the CC is using the same engine and transmission as the current passat?

My honest opinion; the new CC is likely not going to sell as well as the outgoing Passat CC. The new car looks questionable (especially given VW's statement of wanting to identify it as a standalone model), and based on the performance figures, they might as well just plonk in the 1.4 twincharged unit. Also 160PS/250Nm, but smaller, lighter, engine.

guys, a lil bit of advice please. my sister want's to respray her GTi whole. any one here did that before? as far as i know, they will dismantle every thing including the engine bay. is it recommendable to do so?
*
what's the reason for respraying?
to change colour for personalization? or because damaged paintwork (scratch, swirl, etc)?
if it's the latter, i would suggest to send to a good detailer to evaluate whether is it restorable and also the cost for it.
usually very hard to get factory quality paint job outside

no idea.. but i think if u call up all the dealers, you might get 1 or 2 with either old stock, pre-reg, or demo units at discounted price.. they usually dont advertise but there is always something available..

for my case, found out Cheras Hicom Auto has 2 polo sport 2011 units, Wearnes has polo 2011 units (just clear last week), 2011 polo non-sport version selling at 90k (old stock), 2 polo sport 2011 demo unit.. Veemer confirm having 1 polo sport 2011 unit at HQ and need some time to transfer to them..

you may try your luck leaving your contact with dealers.. wink.gif

they reset the warranty to 5 years, hirepurchase interest rate is new car rate..
For Demo cars, they will refurbish the car..

Older stock usually giv few k (6 or 7k) discount while demo units can giv as high as 10% off..

smaller engine = cheaper selling price ?

i read somewhere the 2.0 will be introduced at end of 2012
so, smaller displacement means lower entry price, imo should be able to get buyers who go for the looks rather than the performance.

to me at least, the selling price for the 1.8 CC is too high ler.

Just make sure that the shop you are going to have the right facilities to dry the paint on the car. Note that we definitely can't get factory type finish mainly because when they paint the car in the factory it is also oven baked at god knows what temperatures to ensure the paint is laid properly. I do know a couple of shops who have painted VW's (resprayed a Golf GTI to rising blue) but they are in Selangor.

Oh I thought it was ready already, people were saying that they have the least amount of cars there being serviced. But yeah, best to call and confirm and book and appointment.

hmm . honestly, problem is not with the paint quality, but more on how well can they assemble back the car.

Then best to check with your local VW dealers, talk to the service technician, buy him coffee and find out from him where does their branch send their cars to be sprayed or fixed up. At least you would know that they have experience with VW cars.
