FORCE YOUR MANGO UPDATE HERE

Steps to force a Mango update on phones for which Mango has started rolling out:

1.Connect your Windows Phone to a PC and launch the Zune software

2.Click on Phone > Settings > Update. Allow the software to tell you whether an update is available. If so, skip this guide. If not continue to the next step.

3.Time to force the update. Click another button (any of the options above or below the word Update). Then click the Update button again, and this time disconnect your computer from the internet after 1-2 seconds. Do this by pulling out the Ethernet cable, disabling Wi-Fi, etc. If it says your phone is already up to date, you didn't disconnect quickly enough and need to try this step again.

4.Wait 30 seconds or so and Zune should display a notification that an update is available. This is 7392, the first Mango pre-update.

5.Now reconnect to the internet and continue with the update process through the Zune software.
After 7392 is fully installed, you may receive a notification that another update is available. If so, install it now. If not, proceed to the next step.

6.If the second update isn't popping up on its own, repeat steps 3-5, causing the 7403 update to appear.

7.Install 7403, brave reader. Speeding right along, isn't it?

8.Mango time! At this point, Zune should automatically start installing the last update, 7720, aka Mango. If it doesn't happen automatically, force it like we did in previous steps.

Here is how to connect your Messaging Hub to Facebook Chat:
On your phone, remove the Facebook account setup
On your PC (or in IE9 on the phone), go to home.live.com.
Under "Messenger social" click "Connect Facebook"
Go through the steps to connect Facebook to your Live account
On your phone, add the Facebook account under 'Settings' / 'Email and Accounts'
When it asks if you want to connect to Facebook Chat, tap 'Not now'.
Let it sync
Facebook Chat should automatically be activated as long as it has finished its initial syncing

If you want to check if it's activated:
Go to the Messaging Hub
Tap 'Settings'
Facebook Chat is the first option and should be activated. If not, you can activate it now.

ReEnabling Your Cellular Data Connection After Mango Update

Here's a note for everyone upgrading to Mango.
If you find that cellular data DOESN'T work after updating to Mango.
Based on what some users have said here, it seems to be likely that your carrier APN isn't set anymore. Therefore you need to go to

Settings -> Mobile Network -> Add APN (at the bottom of the screen)
And add back the relevant APN setting for your telco.

How to easily enable WiFi sharing on Samsung Mango Windows Phones
The process is as follows:
Download DiagProvXML and Samsung Tools
Deploy both XAPs to your phone
Run DiagProvXML and hold down on the Internet Sharing item, press Execute
Close (press Back) DiagProvXML, and run Samsung Tools. Press Apply to set Auto Data Config.
Your phone will reboot, and everything should work from there on it.

For those dev-unlocked HTC device which have problem getting the HTC Driver Update right after Mango.

ok. i tried twice on this method and confirm this is working. please use this method under your own risk. i will not be holding any responsible if anything went out of control.

1. download U2M7720.xap(thanks To ansar for this) at http://www.mediafire.com/?535d02w4tc7qo6j
2. side load to you HTC device.
3. execute the app and select DoNotU2B2
4. when Configuring Device appear. press on "tick"
5. wait until it execute finish. press "Done"
6. connect your phone to Zune and execute Zune.
7. go Setting, Phone, Update
8. it take a longer time to detect but it will prompt u HTC drive update is available.
9. update it and it will look like normal update.

do not worry about your dev-unlocked. it will still be able to sideload.

once the driver updated. u will see some improvement over your device. such as more responsive device and better battery saving too.

People, please be aware that there are a number of firmware issues that's causing Mozart to be a little buggy. You're advised to get HD7 instead, or Omnia 7 / Optimus 7.

yeah, why make it so hard to jump from pre-Mango to official Mango?? some user here already with Pre-Mango im on 7712. meaning that we have to rollback to NoDo just to get these official Mango??

nowadays no more unresponsive screen already for my mozart, have no idea why....

in ya case... 7712 is a developer mango. only 7720 is not developer mango. so i guess yours can update thru zune.

for those who have installed the leaked official ROM released from XDA. kindly check your phone are there displaying the album photo of the mp3 song(if any) at locked screen.

according to reliable resources, the true mango will be able to disable whatever audio picture which is available to the audio files.

mean when u are playing an audio. and the audio contain the album photo inside. once you phone go on standby mode. when it wake up. the wallpaper are suppose to display the audio file album picture.

because some 7720 cant display that.

Running 7392, will there be any problems upgrading?

at first after I bought the phone, the issue was kinda severe, and this few weeks or months, its like leasts noticeable, I do not know why....

yes... it come with front facing camera where tango will have video call features. and also DLNA built in that why it support Connect Media by HTC where allow u to stream all your media files to another DLNA device.

8MP camera with F2.2 and burst mode.

ZTE one is build to mass production and bring balance to the market. so the cost must be cheap. expect to be around RM1k.

where i believe Apollo will be design for lower end user where price shouldnt be more than RM900


so there will be higher grade, medium grade and lower grade Windows Phone 7 available in the market. due to this reason. thats why Apple will also realease 2 new model. 1 for low end and 1 for higher end. Apple finally learn why they lose the market to droid.

This morning, at roughly 10 a.m. Pacific time, we began rolling out the Mango update to phones around the world. I’m sure you’re as excited as we are: Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango) is our largest and most feature-packed software refresh to date.

I do want to emphasize that today is just the start. Our plan, as I’ll explain in a moment, is to ramp up delivery gradually—but make the update available to most existing customers within 4 weeks.

I’m sure you have lots of questions about the update process and especially when you’ll be able to install Windows Phone 7.5. Here’s our plan.

Who’s first?

Today we’re starting the roll out of Windows Phone 7.5 to more than 98 percent of existing Windows Phone customers. This is a simultaneous, coordinated, global update that cuts across carriers, phone models, and countries. This time, almost everybody is going first.

When will I get it?

While today’s rollout includes most of our carriers and handsets, we’re not making Mango available to everyone at once. So it could be a few weeks before an update message for Windows Phone 7.5 appears on your phone.

Why don’t we just blast it out?

It’s a fair question. Delivering Windows Phone 7.5 simultaneously to so many phone models and carriers requires the right engineering balance. Speed is a priority—but so is quality. We’re not just delivering our new operating system but also new software supplied by individual handset makers. This “firmware” is necessary so your phone—and apps—work with all the features of Windows Phone 7.5. But it essentially means that we’re supplying not just one update, but many different ones, given the variety of Windows Phones and carriers out there to choose from.

If a problem comes to light, it’s critical that we can isolate and fix it quickly. So we’re deliberately starting out slow. This week, we’ll be making the update available to 10 percent of customers. If everything looks good, we’ll open up the spigot a bit more—to around 25 percent. We’ll hold there for one or two weeks, then quickly ramp up to 100 percent—monitoring quality the entire way. That’s how we ensure Mango arrives both quickly and in tip-top shape.

If we hit unexpected snags, we might have to temporarily slow or halt the update rollout. Starting this week, I’ll resume posting here regularly to let you know where things stand.

How do I install it?

One day a message pops up on your phone saying an update is available. Great! But now what?

Depending on what kind of computer you have, you’ll need to install either the latest version of the Zune Software for PC or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac. Then visit Update Central, our one-stop how-to resource for Windows Phone updates.

Once you’re done, you might want to poke around the Windows Phone website, which was refreshed today with new how-to articles, videos, and tips for getting the most from Windows Phone 7.5 (including a big list of new feature highlights). Finally, don’t forget to check out our new online Marketplace for apps and games!

hmm... Looks just the same like my Mozart running Taiwan RTM Mango last two weeks through flashing method (not update method)...

Wonder if there is any difference between the ROMs? If there is none, then I will just stick to my current Taiwan ROM cos this ROM improved my battery life so much... can last almost 1.5 days with moderate use
