If your unit still under warranty better send to sis. DIY will void your warranty, if any other failure in future you might not able to claims your warranty.
Try ask sis to quote you a price for Mozart ,I think is around RM450.
oops, HD7 very expensive. i tot your is Mozart. HD7 cost about RM650.00 

last time my T-mobile screen broken too, bought a display and front panel housing from ebay. Warning!! not an easy task to replace HD7 LCD Panel as the LCD + front glasses is completely glue to the front housing.

ask htc. if they repaired & will still hv warranty then just do it. if they said warranty void then do outside la, cheaper. but make sure u know where good to send repair.
