Guys, I think I have (first?) problem here after updating to mango. My Internet can't seem to connect via 3g. Tried setting back manually but to no avail, with nodo I don't have to do anything. Anyone with me?

But yeah, the update is awesome!

tell you what i did.
return home to update phone.
tried around 30 times unable to do the pull plug method, the zune becomes @#$%. each time i press update, the message of unable to check for update comes out. I reset my phone, now back to 7008, also the same. Zune is in the latest version. so damn sad sad.gif

My experience this morning:

I first tried with enabling/disabling the local area connection since its hard to reach out to my switch. After few tries, I gave up since it only gave me the 'unable to check for update' error.

Then I try with the switch, really pulling out the cable, still the same.

Then I try check update first (with cable connected), they told you you got no update, then click other button/link, and then click the update back, give myself 3-5 second, and then pull the cable out. You will notice the loading bar will keep on checking, if its quickly give you error message, then you are pulling out too fast. Plugged the cable back, click other button, click update again, and wait longer by few seconds, then pull out. If the loading bar keeps on checking, that's a good sign since I wait around 15-20 seconds before the message appear I got new update.

I try 4-5 times using this method then only can get the message. Don't lose hope!

Well, I'm wondering wheter to do it on my LG considering that are some people who are reporting the problems with internet explorer after update.

I'll give it a few days before attempting the force update.

You both on LG optimus 7? I'm using one, mangofied and yeah got some problems..

At first, the internet connection just went out when using data connection (wifi ok). After some fiddling, I need to manually add apn in the cellular section in settings. Right after inputting it, my internet is back again and is kicking mango ass. I don't know if it relates to any of you, but my phone is from LG Optimus 7 Starhub, running on Celcom.. i just put up the celcom3g as the apn name.

So far, not running any issues with internet explorer, except related to the above problem at first. My verdict : i love my optimus 7 now with mango thumbup.gif

I think the current version of WhatsApp just barely works with minimal features. Quite slow and unresponsive, hope it will get updated often since now everyone have mango already. My guess is they just want to make the basic features work first for early mangoers.

It is useful at times when you need it.  When I get a SMS, email or call for support.  If i need to remote access via VPN to do support work, then I need a Notebook (I know that there is an VNC client available) but on the phone you just cannot do much work.  I do not want to get another Data package just for the Notebook so with WIFI sharing I can get work done without forking out more money and fiddle around with another USB device.  Hope this helps to explain the need for WIFI sharing from my view point.  Thanks.

+1. The same reason I want it. Mainly just for work, I do a lot of outside work, sometimes with no internet. If there is something need to be downloaded of the net for my client, I can just plugged in my wifi dongle to the PC and start my AP to share the internet. Well, if my wp7 can download to phone storage, connect to that said PC and appear as removable drive to transfer the files into the computer, I wouldn't even bother with AP function sweat.gif

I know that this can be done easily in android, but hey, I'm a wp7 and won't leave my wp7 for that! tongue.gif
