Wide open? Awesome bokeh cry.gif

Btw, which is the best 50mm 1.4? Nikkor or Sigma? 80-200 is just too heavy for me right now. Moving all the time doh.gif

A little too "not tele" on FX in my opinion, especially when the VRII has breathing issue at tele end on MFD.

I see, how much will the calibration be? Where to do it? And is it worth it to buy the 50mm when we have a 35mm? hmm.gif

Why not?

Pretty good especially when you need a longer focal length which your 35mm can't provide smile.gif

Need advise.

How can 50mm works in the following two scenario:
- Annual dinner at some hotel's ballroom.
- an cycling event like the coming OCBC Cycle Malaysia?

Suggest one lens that I should spend for the above two occasion with budget RM2000.

Gear: D5100 + sb700

Pls advise.

Coz only 15mm difference. Wanted the 85 1.4 but I can't afford it. How's the Sigma 85 f1.4 btw? Compared to Nikkor?

Me thinks a prime lens would be hard to get group photo for the annual dinner.. unless you stand quite far away..

For the cycling event~ I fear 50mm might not have enough reach to take just a single cyclist..

then again, i'm an amateur.. so I might be wrong.. XD hehe~

p/s: i own a D5100 too. smile.gif
