New to mikrotik.... RB951G to pair with TIME 500mbps.... can max out speed (with fastrack) ... more feature compare with other router

looking forward its uptime stability

probably will invest either RB3xxx or hap ac2 next year

Router is old (i believe its good during unifi VIP5/10 season) hahaha...

but performance wise is ok compare with my Tp-link archer c6 (idling 40~60% cpu ,sometime hit 90%)

Anynone here want to letgo their RB5009? So hard to find one locally used or new.

RouterOS is very stable. I've been running it for 10 years (in a few months) and I've not once come across an issue due to RouterOS.
I've encounter other issues but it was due to the hardware (faulty internal 3.3V supply, which I've fixed) and not due to the RouterOS.

I can say it's on par or even more stable than IOS (not iOS).
Btw, I run v6 Long Term code.

RouterOS 7 quite stable now.
So RB5009 is quite useful for most people. (But for me it got a downside- vpn encryption hardware acceleration is not working or not fully functional,so the vpn speed will be lower and also cpu usage is quite high for vpn usage)
My vpn usage for Wireguard and IPsec - 500+ mbps download cost 60+% cpu utilization.
Other then that,so far so good. 800mbps unifi only use below 10% cpu with fasttrack,and without fasttrack also quite good in my memory.

Wireguard Server: Nordvpn SG (Midnight can run full unifi speed to SG)

Quick question, do you recommend Mikrotik hAP ac3 to replace my Asus ac86u? Currently I'm using it as an AP, connect to some of my family and smart home devices.

I don't know about hAP ac3 but honestly, Mikrotik's wifi is just ok. Nothing to shout about. Not sure if hAP ac3's wave2 support has improved things. I'm using hAP ac2 and hAP ac (both no wave2.)
