DHCPv6-PD problem only happens on PPPoE VLan... I also waiting mikrotik to solve it,but i think maybe need wait half year to one year until they solve other ROS7 issue first...
Mikrotik forum got workaround to mitigate the issue,but i dont know how to do without additional device.(Someone said add another switch that handle vlan can mitigate it)
*
Thing I have tried
CODE

sfp-sfpplus1 -> vlan621 == bridge -> pppoe-out1

CODE

sfp-sfpplus1 == bridge -> vlan621 -> pppoe-out1

both not work, someone said downgrade to v6.49.4, I not tried it yet

Where got stock ?

I bought at https://www.synchroweb.com/, give a call, stock is limited

May consider switching ER-12 -> RB5009... Afterall I'm more used to Mikrotik settings compared to Ubiquiti CLI.

Wonder what's the 2nd hand ER-12 price right now...

yea, I like Mikrotik WinBox, so I plan to sell my RB12 for RM600 sweat.gif

RB5009 is ROS v7 only,downgrade is not possible.

Interesting product... I wonder how does it work to integrate to server? Home server?

USD199 is okay... not too expensive...

Host see this card as Normal Ethernet, it show 4 Ethernet like any other 4 port NIC
Attached Image

However, if you using non-server motherboard, have a problem: Boot too fast before CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe fully boot, host wont see it

this can be fixed if you using Server Motherboard,

but if you using consumer motherboard (B450, B550, X570) enable these: Intel-Vd/AMD-Vi, IOMMU, SR-IOV, PCIe Hotswap, "pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction", this allow host "re-attach" the card after boot-up

with "pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction" even nicer, let say you have 4-port NIC, each port can be pass-through to KVM

Hi all,

I need some help setting up Maxis VOIP on hAP ac2. I've already got Internet working by below:
1. Create new VLAN under Interfaces menu for VLAN 11 and selected eth port 1 as the interface.
2. Plug ethernet cable from the Huawei HG8240H port 1 to hAP ac2 port 1.
3. Create new PPPOE client with my Maxis credentials
4. Set the NAT firewall rule to have out interface=ppoe client.

So far Internet works. I then created VLAN 14 for VOIP, set it to eth2, then plug the eth2 to Archer C5v (set to bridge mode) from Maxis. But no dice here the VOIP doesn't work. I suspect I'm missing some bridging settings for this to work.

Connection as below:
Huawei ONT---Mikrotik hAP ac2---Archer C5v (bridge mode)

Happy to provide more info if info above is not sufficient.

RouterOS is very stable. I've been running it for 10 years (in a few months) and I've not once come across an issue due to RouterOS.
I've encounter other issues but it was due to the hardware (faulty internal 3.3V supply, which I've fixed) and not due to the RouterOS.

I can say it's on par or even more stable than IOS (not iOS). nod.gif
Btw, I run v6 Long Term code.
