Kinda feel buyers of Sagas, be it BLM, FL, or FLX, shld alwaz rber that Sagas are intended for the ordinary guy/fmly who wants to go fr A to B in a basic but reasonably comfortable car which he can afford to own...??
Then no worries, rite? Not need talk/compare/complain abt power, acceleration, max speed, etc., etc., etc. True? Enjoy yr rides... ps. For those who wanna go that extra mile, with $$$ to invest, Sagas also open a whole new world for yu to mod & improve yr rides the best way yu can... Never forget tho that Sagas, as is, are wat they are...Sagas, the car for the man-in-the-street. This post has been edited by zeone: Sep 23 2011, 04:48 PM |

Yeah, that's true. It's like someone go test drive a trishaw and complain why it cannot compete with 10-gear mountain bike. Then no worries, rite? Not need talk/compare/complain abt power, acceleration, max speed, etc., etc., etc. True? Enjoy yr rides... On a personal note, I think at 45K, FLX is the best buy for the money. Cheaper and better than "lagi best." At least it's got a proper boot to fix high-end speakers for ICE. |

On a personal note, I think at 45K, FLX is the best buy for the money. Cheaper and better than "lagi best." At least it's got a proper boot to fix high-end speakers for ICE. Feel so sorry for (& also kenot understand why) those who (after buying Sagas) complain eg : 1. why their Saga acceleration not that good; 2. why their Saga kenot reach a certain Max Speed; 3. why Saga Auto power/FC is not as good as their former manual car; 4. why the tyres that came with their Sagas not hv better roadholding or so noisy; 5. why NVH is of lower std than other cars; AND lots lots more... Frankly don't ppl find out enuf abt the car they wanna spend RM40k++ for b4 they sign away those precious $$$$$? Many gonna pay every mth for mayb nxt 9 years (not 9 mths!) for something they start complaining abt juz after a few days/weeks? How to survive the 8+ years to go? Me juz wonder... Manual have the freedom to dump the clutch at a sweet spot and the car just lurch forward without any hesitation and build up speed as it goes. from idle (900rpm) till around 1,800-2,000 rpm is basically our campro "lazy spot". Pass that and you can do 110 accidentally. ACCIDENTALLY! |

QUOTE(Irishcoffee @ Sep 23 2011, 06:05 PM) if you're interested with the car, time to dump high rev = high speed theory. This theory only exist for conventional auto and manual gearbox BUT it doesn't exist for CVT. For CVT, your speed rise as your rpm rises. If you keep stay at 2,000 then you will be cruising at around 70-80km/h. Pijak more = speed more. lol |

objective of a test drive is to see the capability of the car. so pijak oni lah. haha
why takut langgar? The brakes is good, at least doesn't feel mushy like mash potato which feels like on the edge of giving up on the P hatchback. lol Go for a second round test drive and this time when you slot the gear lever into D, give yourself and the gearbox 0.5 seconds before pressing the throttle. Dont straight away slot D and put foot on the throttle. And when pressing the throttle, if you feel the car doesn't move faster at an instance, give it somemore time (another 0.5 sec I reckon). This was due to the lag of the drive by wire system, a common flaw in the Saga range. Once it start to pick up speed, then only add additional throttle input as you desired. When you press full/half, an instant rpm raise followed by a slow but steady increase of speed is common. Thats the characteristic of a CVT gearbox. --- Today done first service. ALlignment issue solved. Can drive without holding steering liao on federal. This post has been edited by V12Kompressor: Sep 23 2011, 06:44 PM |

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Sep 23 2011, 08:55 AM) Press the batang at the meter for a few seconds, while its showing the total mileage, not current mileage. Then the hour digit will flash. Press again to alter the number. To move to the minute digit, dont touch it for a few seconds then it'll jump from the hour to minute. thxeric i got used to it |

QUOTE(Irishcoffee @ Sep 23 2011, 01:53 PM) hi guys today i went for a test drive flx cvt at sg besi Bro, interest rate is approved by banker, not sales man. Always bear in mind, they just based on previous customer details and roughly let u know. U only know the exact interest rate once u get approved or enquire at bank.i felt the car less power than my old saga , i really need to press my right foot hard , mayb i get used to manual , izzit normal for auto??? and their interest rate is quite high , 3.25%-3.5% any wer can get better deal? Power wise, i will just say, saga is like this 1 lo. Based on your finance record and all small small details, its affect the interest rate. I got mine approved by Maybank 3%. Waiting for WVV hehe. |
