Stoke is very tough n physical team n also the mid table team.Against top 4 like Liverpool they just need a point, different with us.

So the pressure with us,but for me we play better than last year we lose 2-0 n played bad game that time.

Indeed they're a tough team. Shawcross and Begovic were superb for Stoke. They had many goal saving blocks. Unbelievably good defending.

I just managed to saw the highlights via dailymotion..
The incident where 3 saves by Bergovic, and 2 block shots by Sunderland defenders were making Suarez frustrated..
He was looking for the ball but no! He aint getting the ball..

Stoke really made it hard for Liverpool to attack but what frustrates me is that we had possession most of the time and believe that we should have done a lot better with it.

stoke drew liverpool into playing a direct style instead of the fluid passing because they just broke up all our passing...that's why i believe kenny introduced carroll in the mix to make use of the direct play...a good game but bad result. i'm still positive about our season. if we can keep the defeats down to 2 or 3 this season, we'll go far

A lot of people has mentioned that Stoke city plays "anti-football". Defending with a bus parked at the goalmouth.

I seriously don't think that is the case. It's almost a tactic that could go both ways. It is as much a risk playing defensively. We couldn't put the ball behind the net, Stoke followed their tactic of being spartans defending the overpass and yes, bodies, hands, legs and heads were flying to block the shots and it worked. We can only rue our missed chances but we should not be berating a full attack from our boys for not trying their hardest.

I watched the highlights this morning and i believe there was number of penalty shout for us were denied. What ever the outcome was on the weekend, i'm still positive that Kenny could do his wonders with this current team, with our captain fantastic is making a return, i could see we have better season ahead. Not being optimistic, but feeling positive that the top 4 could be achieved.

The one thing I do not agree with KD is the referee not giving us the penalties. Yes some teams would feel that winning penalties win you games, but in truth, we did not win it because we did not put the ball into the net. plain and simple.

Criticising the referee is a spur of the moment thing and having 2 questionable decisions against his team, sometimes it's just hard to swallow. but watching from where we are, we did not need the penalties to win it. it was just one of those days and there will still be those days because a few club plays this tactic week in, week out. It's a gamble is all I can say.

i feel we're unlucky against stoke, adam & henderson has a couple of chance to score but every time there's just some one there to block it.

this week against spurs would be an interesting test. let hope steve g will be bk in action, selling Meireles looks like poor piece of business now seeing how he perform in his first cheleski game.

Disappointed we didnt get aguero sad.gif
Scored hattrick on sat and second top scorer in the league.

Sometimes i rue our bad luck.
When we had Cl,we had crap owners who wouldnt spend.
Now we have good owners,we dont have CL to attract the players. cry.gif

aguero are proven goal scorer bro and the team providing good assist for him.

for me about this defeat, a lack of creativity on the midfield. also Stoke did really good defending as you can see..
I'm not blaming the refs also our player, they fight 'bermati-matian' on the pitch. salute to them.

well, I really hope gerrard coming on next match against spurs and command our midfield since Liverpool are leaderless for about 5-6month, i guess.

Gerrard won't be featuring for the Tottenham game I guess, sitting on the bench at most. KD won't be rushing him, besides he's not match fit yet.

EDIT: Bloody hell Rafa's website! Mind f***ed by the numbers wacko.gif

Again, saw lots of comments and emotional outburst..for me - i would anytime prefer WE dominate than being dominated...compare to Houllier style of play, i would choose this Liverpool team anytime. Match stats read like 70% to 30% possession, shot on target 16 (6 on target) vs 2 (1 ontarget) for Stoke. I will take it if we can put out a dominant display like this throughout the season - I can see ourself within top 4 is definitely achieveable

The question of Carra, well he is out of position in the first place, but i tot he did well to recover but the JWalter sort of push himself onto Carra, and fell...well to me the referee's performance is much to be desired as a Liverpool fan..

Saw another match - Scott Dan - Blackburn VS Fulham, and i tot poor display from this lad..earlier rumors that we are considering him, but from wat i can see, he is not liverpool material...at least not yet..i am sure he'll be skin alive if he perform like he did against fulham -wearing a REDs shirt..Probably a good thing that Coates being carefully intro into BPL, KD being the astute man-manager

Paul Merson backs Liverpool's performance deserves something. "Its definitely not a penalty"

Watch The Video.

Carra's so called foul was NOT a penalty

Suarez's kick towards Stoke's Goal mouth did touch the hand of the Stoke's defender and it was a REAL penalty indeed.

When will FiFa approve Video evidence like Tennis?

We were just unlucky with the decision made.
Just wanted to share the opinions of others on our brilliant yet nothing out of it game.

Beating Spurs on the 18th would be sweet after the defeat last week. Some real test coming up..

have a look at Kenny's interview,

the media played it to its full end saying he ranted. he didn't rant or raged, he's demeanor as always is one of class, and it's more disappointment than what the media headlines are screaming and trying to make him a villain to the FA which is sad,

select KD's interview at the bottom blush.gif
