QUOTE(Duke Red @ Aug 29 2011, 09:16 AM)
Too many overly dramatic fans these days I must say. A couple of bad results and it's a travesty. 3 seasons with no title and it's the dark age. Think fans these days need to gain a little more perspective. Assuming that what they claim is true i.e. to be a fan for life (a term I take loosely these days given the people I've seen jump ship), then are a few bad results really a disaster? Now Hillsborough, that was a disaster. Bad results are but a mere blip in the bigger scheme of things. We won the Champions League in dramatic fashion back in 2005, 7 years ago! Still fresh in our minds though isn't it?

i dun understand why FiFa cannot leave the league alone and wanted to hav international break where players tends to get injured. Are their planners tat stupid tat they cannot plan the International matches in such a way not to interfere with the Domestic games?
During the off season, FiFa should held all their Internationl matches, be it qualifying of friendly. Now we hav a few of our players nursing the unwanted injuries mad.gif

then the players on national duty will be playing non-stop.

We're not in danger of going bankrupt, so losing the odd one or two matches having dominated isn't too big a deal in my books.

It never is nice to see to Liverpool fans trade insults/names with each other.

Been lurking for a while - wasn't really much that I could contribute... wasn't too bothered about winning or losing actually, perhaps i've calmed down a bit with age or maybe because I am simply glad that we've gone back to doing business the Liverpool way - behind closed doors and not having any real danger from insolvency and its ugly brethens, even if it means that we are still unable to mount a proper title challenge.

Come on old timers - you must surely admit that being also rans back in the spice boys era was more comforting than the tumultuous few seasons before this whistling.gif

But I do have a few complaints - although if anyone deserves to be given the benefit of a doubt, it'll be KD. I for one do not think that we have spent all too wisely. Was it necessary to pay over the odds for British talent? We had money, and I doubt that we could not have been able to afford people like Mata. And I do not think that he would have turned us down outright either. It is just that we chose to go for the likes of Henderson and Downing (which I am pleased with, of course laugh.gif). I disagree with the way we have spent our small fortune - could have done with more variety if you ask me.

Case in point - we missed out on that overpriced young defender who ended up at Manchester United, but we later went and signed one of hottest young south american defender for a much smaller fee iinm. The 'replacement' is better than the 'first choice' perhaps. Unless of course if the management had planned to sign them both - now that would have been a different story altogether.

I'm angry that Poulsen, Cole and Konchesky all left. Now we've got to blame Carragher again whenever lady luck looks the other way.

Did we concede yet another penalty?

And is it me or has Reina's penalty saving mojo gone on a season long loan to timbuktu?

Lucas defending Henderson.

Awesome: Lucas isn't much older, but he talks with the poise and confidence of a seasoned professional. As with his actions on the field, always ready to stand up and defend the newbies. If he were local, he'd be captain already!

Not Awesome: Having already put one young player through the 'everyone hates me, the rain is my fault' hell, the supporters are now lining up a second target. Sigh.
