have a look at Kenny's interview,

the media played it to its full end saying he ranted. he didn't rant or raged, he's demeanor as always is one of class, and it's more disappointment than what the media headlines are screaming and trying to make him a villain to the FA which is sad,

the english media usually will spice things up (usually negative) about Liv'pool. They all love the "mind games" talk that AF is famous for. With AW brushed aside, no JM, no rafa to irked the poster chap, mancini it seems is no match to AF in the "physiological" games. so why not shove KD into the arena too (english media puts a spin in too).

KD is no different in his player/manager days.

Yea, you could see in the Stoke game, he didn't run much or wasn't getting forward. Could see he was hurting a little.

On the media about Kenny, the media tends to exaggerate and play on words.

We have Kelly and hopefully Gerrard will be available on the match against Tottenham this week.

Kelly out with a hamstring injury, should be 2 or 3 weeks before we see him play a full game. Either Flanno or Skrtel will be playing RB.

KD should put up 3 centre defenders like he did previously, last season.. skrtel, coates, agger.. push Enriques to higher wing back position, get Kuyt to do it on the right.. would be good.. my 2cents..

Ranting and raving eh? Well whatever it takes to sell more copies right? What is more frustrating is people usually only read the headlines without going through the content.

Here's what he said,

QUOTE
"We would like to be respectful to referees - and I'd like to think I have been - but more importantly than being respectful to the referees is having respect for my football club,'' he said.

"If I feel they are suffering in any shape or form I will need to go the same route other people go and see if we can gain some benefit from that. The first four league games have had contentious decisions in them and every one has gone against us.

"I'll speak to the owners first and see what they say because the last thing I want to do is for my behaviour to impinge on the club's success in any way.''

How is this a rant? If anything, it's the opposite. He isn't b****in or whining. He's making it clear in no uncertain terms that he will do all that's necessary to protect the interest of the club, by going through proper channels instead of making a public outburst. He did not focus on a particular incident neither did he mention a particular official.

Its clearly when Glenny was subbed in, we were palying with 10 men because he looks kinnda injured was nowhere present in any kind of attack. A mistake there by KD.

I saw it too but the picture is deceptive because it isn't referring to Gerrard despite what some may like to think.

Yea, its super deceptive cause the way they arrange the layout is horrible. Got a shock of my life for a moment there. On the news of the footballers who take ability enhancing drugs, hope non of the players from Liverpool are involved.

Looks like Meireles and Commoli are giving conflicting accounts of why the Portuguese star left us.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...es-out?&cc=4716

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/live...55578-29409983/?

I like it when there are conflicting accounts because this means that we can form our own conclusions.

From accounts known to me, I think it was more a case of Meireles being forced out. Why?

1) He was asked to take a pay cut, promised a pay rise and later told that he wouldn't be getting an increment despite an impressive debut season.
2) We invested heavily on players who would be competing with him for a starting berth.
3) Rumours of him being sold had been circulating in the press for a long time. Yes, the media often sensationalise topics but there is also no smoke without fire.

If I were to put myself in his shoes...

- I get hired by a company who tell me that I'll have to take a pay cut but I'll have my salary revised at the end of the yr.
- I perform admirably at work, earning praise from my bosses and the respect of my colleagues.
- My star colleague falls ill and I'm tasked with completing a couple of important projects which I do, most notably against Chelsea.
- I hear rumours circulating that the company is intending to hire more staff in my department and that I may be let go.
- Come end of the yr, I'm told that I won't get the increment I was promised despite impressing and fulfilling my end of the bargain
- The company hires younger, local (British) talent and places them all in my department.
- I now hear we may have to cut heads as my department has exceeded it's salary limit.
- The new year gets under way and put into cold storage, only given small tasks.
- Disgruntled, I resign.

This is the way I see it. Meireles may have handed in a transfer request like Comoli indicates but I don't think it's because he wanted to leave all along. These days it's common for companies to adopt a "we don't fire staff" policy. Instead they sideline you until you leave on your own.

This is what I believe has happened in the case of Raul Meireles.

I think you missed out a takeover and subsequent revamp of management. Plus I do not understand why he did not include a salary increase clause in his contract and chose to rely on the words of a management team lead by Mr and Mrs Epic Swindle.

In short, RM was promised something by a management that got replaced. New management does not feel obliged to fulfill old management's promise. RM did not protect himself with black and white. Agree to disagree. Adios. No ones fault except for RM's agent.
