QUOTE(solstice818 @ Aug 29 2011, 01:57 AM)
I think we need a proper traditional right winger. Arshavin and Benny are both players that cut inside from flanks. Not to say that they are ineffective but we need someone who can deliver crosses from the right.

Notice anything about our current team? Our team left flank has gone from the weakest area to the strongest area. The addition of Enrique and Downing has certainly make it one of the most potent weapon we have in our arsenal. Downing bombing forward with great positioning sense and appear on time to help out defense. Enrique, attacking but doing a great job at defense simultaneously. More importantly, both deliver delicious crosses from left. It has gone from weakest area to strongest area.I do think we can further improve our right flank especially when Hendo, Kuyt and even Maxi are not the traditional type of winger that deliver crosses.... We need someone on the right to deliver more crosses, someone with pace to beat the defenders....
*
Dont worry, when Glen Johnson is back, you will see more crosses..
Thought about ring wingers, i could remember a few..
Joey Barton who can deliver good crosses from right.. But too bad, his attitude no good.
Ibrahim Affelay? Not playing much @ Barcelona, time to move kid, come to Liverpool yo.
Jesus Navas? Accelerator guy who plays on purely right wing.. This guy can shoot as well !
All in one, J.Henderson is not bad whattttt laugh.gif

Wow. A teams not been humiliated at Old Trafford like this since Man Utd. By Andrea Dossena

This statement made me smile a little but Dossena is still an arrogant prick.

Eih? Enlighten me, why saying Dossena an arrogant prick? icon_rolleyes.gif

Another Torres wannabe
*
Nop i dont think so..
Meireles is a Portugese international but failed to hold up a first team place even when Gerrard it out..
Whats more left when Gerrard is back? Guess you guys know what will happen to the pecking order..
I agree with Raul by leaving! As good as he deserves a first team place, but with the C.Adam there, KK will surely pick Adam over Raul..

But still dont understand why compare torres transfer with meireles transfer?
Why always compare, end up more misunderstandings..
Somehow, its their career.. They choose whats best for themselves..

g'luck meireles. didn't expect this but for sure is rational

I woke up late.
real crazy wei the last minute transfers, with the other clubs too

spurs was kinda benign
qpr gets sean-wright philips
surprised manc getting hargreaves
stokes had three last minute transfers

never thought we would meet crouch in a stokes uniform  tongue.gif

in a positive side, we had a lot of release as well
decreases wage load + our youngsters hopely can play
at least now i can see a breathing space for spearing and shelvey.
and also others  rclxms.gif

hmm, when will rahim be playing for the first team?  hmm.gif

Haha, Crouch was at Sunderland before, the red white stripes.. thumbup.gif

C`mon guys.. C.Bellamy is a good signing rightt...
Vast BPL experience..Definitely a good back up striker.. Could be easily be the first team sheet member as well..

Ngog was just a decent one..When some of your top players got knock or something, a back up is required, and if guess which one will you choose? A decent one or an experienced ones..?

There are trade offs i must say but overall, Bellamy signing was a great one.. His pace is terrifying, his runs-behind-the-defenders were also dangerous.. Could be perhaps a wiser man as well since he is 32 now..

downing does that often tongue.gif
now i think he's the 2nd fastest LFC player after enrique.

QUOTE(chenwfng @ Sep 7 2011, 05:30 PM)
Who's the fastest? Suarez?
*
HAHAHAHAHAHAA laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
Just for the sake of laugh, no offence bro! thumbup.gif

J. Enrique is TADDDD fast huhhh?
I knew some of his backgrounds, but nvr know he could be the fastest..
Nevertheless, in my point of view, to know whose fast in pace, i tend to look at the player's boots..
Those who wears Adizero F50 must be fast, likes of Suarez, Downing, Enrique.. Others like Villa, Messi, Ashley Young too were those wearing F50..
Same goes to Mercurial Superfly, like Theo Walcott, A. Sanchez, C. Ronaldo, and so on..

Speaking of boots, i somehow literally laughed when i saw centrebacks wearing Mercurial or F50 =.="...Malaysian League banyak ada sweat.gif

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 11 2011, 03:03 PM)
In your opinion then, what was wrong with how we played last night? Yes some of our passing went awry but we still created enough chances to have taken the game had we been more clinical in the final third of the pitch. Forget the missed attempts from Suarez and Henderson. How many times did desperate defending from the likes of Shawcross, Upson and Huth foil us? They were throwing themselves in front of the ball when we took aim at goal. The fans were singing Huth's name and Shawcross was named MOM. What does this tell you? I'm no genius but if you couple this with the fact that we dominated possession and had way more shots on goal, it tells me Stoke defended well.

Did King Kenny promise the title this season? Here's where I feel fans delude themselves into thinking the team will challenge each season just because of a couple of new signings. King Kenny hasn't even been in charge for a full season yet. This season has just begun and suddenly some people forget how he salvaged a miserable season for us last term with a string of good results.[COLOR=red]

Yes we aren't winning all our games but it isn't like we didn't create the chances to have done so. What matters now isn't that we win every game as good as that would be, but that we continue to play well and create chances which we have bar the Sunderland game.

One bad result and it's doom and gloom all over again. Are you telling me you don't see any positives? Young players coming through the ranks. Healthy financial standing. New stadium looming. Expansion into Asian markets. John Henry has said that it will take years to build a successful side and he isn't going for the instant success formula. He's invested in us for the long term. Fans should look to the long term and not put words into the gaffers mouth by claiming we should be going for the title. It's a bonus, not an obligation.

Kudos Duke thumbup.gif
That red bold part is worth reading over and over again by "some of the forumers", they know who they are laugh.gif ..
Think twice before posting anyhow.. Even more importantly, read the bolded part before posting every week, week in week out after a match thumbup.gif

Indeed they're a tough team. Shawcross and Begovic were superb for Stoke. They had many goal saving blocks. Unbelievably good defending.
*
I just managed to saw the highlights via dailymotion..
The incident where 3 saves by Bergovic, and 2 block shots by Sunderland defenders were making Suarez frustrated..
He was looking for the ball but no! He aint getting the ball..

Not to mention, seeing Suarez so frustrated, I fear that he too will leave.
*
Leave? Why? Just because of one match?
That would be stupid enough to think about it..

And, i was kind of disappointing why Dirk Kuyt isnt starting, aint he fit?
I always always always thought that having Kuyt in the first eleven is pretty much vital..
And also, not fancy with 4-4-2 cuz u cant have 3 central midfilders..
Next match should see Lucas + Spearing + Henderson in the middle of the park.. well just my hope.

i cannot understand why we are not playing at a fast pace level..
With 10 men Everton, go and attack damn it!!!
The only reason i can think of why we are still playing so pleasurely and relaxly is that K.Dalglish are tempting the Everton guys to push up a little bit more so that it leaves more space at the back?
This is the chance guys!!! Chance to win the derby game.. Go get the 3 points!!!

i guess its more convincing if Carrol off and Gerrard in..
Make a proper 3-midfielders...
A 4-3-3 formation..

but tough decision by KD..
u cant really leave a 35million striker on the bench week in week out...
u w\have to field him to let him blend in..
But at the moment, NO!
He isnt fitting in the plan..

and what a moment..
Carragher left Saha space for him to shoot =.="
Why back off damn it?!

Carragher is simply too tired...
I saw him lying down the ground after half a second the whistle gone...
Bellamy gaves us pace.. Its good..
I guess the goal gave Carrol the lift and confidence..Well taken goal..

J.Enrique the man of the match..
But i would rather choose Lucas..
Anyone notice how many times he wins the standing tackle situation?
Kudos to the man who has total 172 tackles made last season!

Yes he is da man!
*middle finger* to my friend who always curse me saying Lucas is a rubbish..
He is just the rising star =)
I see the "young Darren Fletcher" anyhow..

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Oct 1 2011, 10:00 PM)
Have to agree that lucas did very well. The yellow card came from a mistake of  someone losing the ball upfront.

On a side note, everton fans were disgraceful cursing and throwing objects at suarez and bellamy when taking corners. doh.gif
*
Yup, was so disgrace..
Hope FA will fine them!!!
How can you throw stuffs to people like Suarez and Bellamy who are doing their job @ their working hours!!!
Yeap, they are working riteee..Just that their suit is jersey and not formal attire..
