How long ago you got your unifi ?

Less than 2 weeks ago. Plan to change router based on klseet review but afraid it doesn't support the modem although it is unlikely but who knows right?

Using my 29" CRT TV. (Fat & Old TV)
I am aware that I cannot enjoy the HD resolution.

Can I watch all the channel in Unifi provided ?

Will the STB / Unifi detect my TV is not Full HD or HD-Ready and Block the content ?

Is there a way that a Biz 5 user be able to watch HappyTV?  If so, what is the additional hardware etc that are required?

Thank you.

U will need a STB thats it & providing you are in a residential area.

Thats what I heard from 1 of the LYN member who is using biz package for home.
*
Apart from STB unit, you need the log in name of a VIP user and the password for IPTV to work. The unifi network is not going to let you in if you key in your BIZ user and password.

The next question is... Can you use others VIP user and password in the same time you log in the same fiber as a BIZ user?

yes, call my hp if the alarm is triggered then i can press some buttons on my keypad to switch off the alarm.

btw, i got a TPlink router today and followed all the steps to flash firmware n so on, but i do not know the password for my username@unifi account. or theres some default password ?

theres one wifi pin code on the blue colour paper tat the technician passed to me but i guess tats for wifi rite ? not my @unifi account password. anyway i tried with tat one but wont work. now im using back my old crappy dlink router. anyone would help ? icon_question.gif  thx

Uhm i think the unifi line are voip aka digital line so i dont think it will work on the alarm. U might want to consider to change the alarm to 3G/simcard or one that support digital line or somehow convert the line to analog line..

unifi account password u need to login to web and request for change.
The pin code are wifi default password, if u havent change it.

Someone here said that their alarm do work with VoIP. Actually digital part only up till BTU. After BTU there's no difference as normal house phone. You can even connect the old non dect phone to it to use.

Thank you for your reply. I am actually in a dilemma whether to choose BIZ5 or VIP5. For BIZ5, it is unlimited usage but I won't be able to have the IPTV.

rattan mentioned before that there is a lowyat forum member which is using BIZ5 but is able to have IPTV as well, hope the member is able to clarify on this matter.

Thank you.

1) Depends totally on barriers such as (walls, doors, partitions etc)

2) Any brand will do actually, however wired will be the best option.

3) Can install anywhere, as long as the RJ45 cable is long enough. (additional installation charge apply)

The iptv is down again in kajang. However Internet seems ok albeit slow connection to international sites.

Regarding unifi cs, for me they are pretty efficient. I filed a report via occ tonight regarding my iptv issues and they called me around 30 mins later to inquire more and they submit another report ticket afterwards to relevant support.

No hassle, no need to call and waste your money.

This is my second report via unifi occ. The same level of service. Not just rare cases.

Am I the only one using alcatel modem?

Which brand is the latest one?
*
haha, this is my 3rd week waiting for solution.. the best part.. they keep closing my support ticket without feedback/contact me, keep changing new modem.. now huawei modem again.. for info.. my location is highrise building..probably i'm the only 1 using it?

this is really bad experience for me to contact them using my own handphone T_T

3 weeks = 1 call per day.. everytime do the same thing and same sentences, each call cost me around rm3-rm5
