Is there a way that a Biz 5 user be able to watch HappyTV? If so, what is the additional hardware etc that are required?
Thank you.

QUOTE(shyghost @ Oct 12 2011, 09:20 AM) Apart from STB unit, you need the log in name of a VIP user and the password for IPTV to work. The unifi network is not going to let you in if you key in your BIZ user and password. Thank you for your reply. I am actually in a dilemma whether to choose BIZ5 or VIP5. For BIZ5, it is unlimited usage but I won't be able to have the IPTV. The next question is... Can you use others VIP user and password in the same time you log in the same fiber as a BIZ user? rattan mentioned before that there is a lowyat forum member which is using BIZ5 but is able to have IPTV as well, hope the member is able to clarify on this matter. Thank you. |

QUOTE(budakhijau @ Oct 28 2011, 03:39 PM) hi all sifu here... I read through from this thread that you can actually use HomePlug for this purpose. The installation is something like the picture below:if i wanna use the iptv in my living room to watch tv...and the same time i wanna use unifi in my study room (desktop)...do i hav to drag all the cable along the way...i find its quite slow if i go wireless to download things...TQ ![]() |

QUOTE(budakhijau @ Oct 28 2011, 05:40 PM) owhhh...really...tthanks so much...does it really works...just look like a plug to me...where can i buy it...anyone here sell this...TQTQTQ Yes, it is a Homeplug, that's why it looks like a plug. And yes, according to other lowyat forum member here, it really work. So far, I only know that there are some forumers here selling TP-Link HomePlug and Aztech HomePlug. You can search this forum to find them out. |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Oct 28 2011, 10:37 PM) Ya, the homeplug performance actually is affected by the quality of the metal material of the power plug in the house. If you refer to this thread for Homeplug discussion, then you can understand more. |

Not sure if anyone from Lowyat forum here is interested in getting Vigor 2130n router (with wireless and Unifi compatible) from DrayTek Malaysia. I have sent a product enquiry to their sales team two days ago and received an official reply from them that they are having sales promotion for Vigor 2130n router (limited units only) at the moment.
Their customer service reply to all my enquiries promptly and professionally. The price is quite attractive, so I have ordered 1 unit of Vigor 2130n from DrayTek. It really surprise me that they even help me to update my router to the latest firmware and configure it to be Unifi-ready before courier it to me. If you are planning to get a Vigor router, do contact their sales team at sales@draytek-malaysia.com More information on the router can be obtained here: Vigor 2130 series This post has been edited by suying: Oct 31 2011, 08:37 PM |

QUOTE(izzat80 @ Oct 31 2011, 08:41 PM) hah i think u and me r only vigor owners here... anyone else? if got 5 we open our own tered la Ya, if not because of the sales promotion, I won't be getting Vigor 2130n at the moment because the original price is just too expensive. i got non wireless long ago.. wireless one price too much for me neway i'm using my old streamyx dlink as wirless access point and the vigor do all routing and bandwidth control what vip speed u use and what is ur ping to speedtest.net (chose kl server)?? urs izit vdsl or fiber? Vigor is actually being used mostly by companies/offices. For home users, I think you are right. There are very few Vigor home users at the moment due to pricey issue. I am currently pending my Unifi to be installed, sometime first or second week of Nov 2011 so I can't provide you with ping and speedtest result now. Will do it later when my Unifi is installed and ready. My Unifi will be installed in the landed property, so I think it should be fiber then. |
