I'm not knowledgeable at all, just know a bit of this and a bit of that.

The delay associated with Campro may be due to the Electronic Throttle Control, which is not present in 4G18. But I have not have the (mis)fortune of driving a Campro vehicle so I dunno how bad the lag is and how different it is from 4G18.

What kinda bugs i should know of that exists in my 2001 Waja?

2001 lotsa things is not correct hahahaha even the dashboard screw holder always patah coz it is still in beta... the ecu had bugs which need to reflash for the patch, the instruments meter and the wiring are under sized, the side door trim all plastic dun have metal like 2003 onwards waja.... and lots more... average get 2003 waja... it takes me 2 years to get a waja coz i check every damn thing hahaha dun believe can ask Elton coz i bought my Waja since elton in his college... i bought my Waja in 2006.... that time i got good deal at RM34k.... so far the car very loyal to me no problem at all, i even drove the car up to Golden Triangle in Burma without any issue... my car deserve to have a Turbo.....

and the latest pic say alot on the TURBO~.. hahaha~

my 2005 waja experience..
- mounting crack just after warranty finish.. i memang kaki high rev no mercy one.. heheh..
- bearing front left
- drive shaft right side bengkok
i guess all 3 above attributed from my driving style..

but 2 issues not related to my driving style:
- power window main control on driver side shorted out after 5 years.. had to replace it at ori proton service for RM260! before that i tried going to acc. shop where they got the non ori controller for rm100.. tried that and it couldnt work..
- got rattling sound coming from the aircond vent driver side or somewhere behind the speedometer cluster.. it is damn annoying.. its been there since day 1 i got the waja.. its the only consistent sound that keeps disturbing my ride of silence.. tried complaining to proton during first 2 years while in warranty but to no avail.. *facepalm* steven did drove my car during ecu reflash and he also laughed saying my waja oso got the same sound.. hahaha.. eh steven.. how ah to remove that sound?? change meter issit? i really2 want to get rid of this sound..

Added on October 17, 2011, 9:43 pmsolved edi.... the sound is from the dash board.... remove the dash and reinstall sure no more sound and u must also bolt on a turbo

aiyo.. just like that ah.. if nothing breaks then how to ask shop to open n fix back..
BOT is too expensive.. my next mod for my waja is maybe camshaft + adj cam pully..

better keep the money and do BOT haha.. it is much fun

won't the turbo rattle things even more?

Turbo more smooth compare to NA...

I repaired the power window main control on driver side also. It cost me RM 90 onl =,=..

i like the grounding job!

i just pry opened the main button, clean up the contacts and put it back in. it works again be careful not to loose 1 small ball bearing between the spring and metal contacts

Dear waja-rian,

I think I'm leaving this thread real soon as my dad wanted to sell away my car . If he really sell away my car, I'll have to work then after few months, I'll need my brother to be my guarantor to get either another Waja or other korean car.
