doing tappet adjustment too since i think i havent do it since i bought the car! now its already 170k km.. then i downgraded my rims from 16" to 15" last weekend.. cant wait to test it later today.. hope to get the cool acceleration back like when i first flash my ecu with steven 2 years ago.. |

liqui moly 10-40w is just awesome for my 6 year old 4g18..
its been the quietest i've ever heard for a long2 time.. revs up super smooth too.. just unbelievable.. on another note.. i also put the same oil on my neo campro non cps.. my neo is quieter now but not as quiet as my waja.. if the characteristics of the quietness and smoothness maintains up till 6000km or more, i will definitely return for another bulk purchase from elton.. |

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Oct 3 2011, 11:33 AM) for NA vehicle, no need to waste the money for these stuff coz it wont gain anything at all... after u spend a few K then maybe u get 1 to 5% power increament... after installing cam and acp, need to recheck ecu mappings or not?The best and the most efficient NA way is reflash ECU.... need more power? u need to have cams and adjustable pulley... and since my waja is auto, only certain cam degrees suitable rite? |

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Oct 5 2011, 07:56 AM) with RM2xx better keep it coz i dont think it will help any changes.. sometimes when u changed some stuff u thought that power is increased because u wanted so..... and u felt like power really increased..... but i can tell u... actually there is no gain.... to gain HP on gasolene vehicle is not that simple compare to diesel. but if the driver is not a top speed kind of driver.. then would it be better to use the acp to advance the powerband and improve pickup while sacrificing top end performance? (since he's not gonna use it anyway) |

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Oct 5 2011, 01:54 PM) FYI acp will result of lost early stages of torque and will create vibration resonance then will destroy internal engine parts. at 1500RPM the acp is creating 30hz natural resonance while the engine ignition will be at 0.5 order spectrum which is 15hz. There will be also 90hz resonance at 3rd order which will create some vibration along the rev going up. The amplitude of the resonance is because of the combustion and the crank order. would this be specific to 4G18 or with other engines as well?I did the test using VibXpert instrument and i confirmed. |

QUOTE(shaun9189 @ Oct 17 2011, 02:19 PM) hi guys, i have some inquiry bout waja, i'm planning to change my car to waja (2nd hand). need some advise on which year's car to take as different year have different engine. Heard tat campro is slow in responding (when u step on accelerate).. get a 4g18 (2006 or older waja) or if you want newer ones then get atleast the campro with cps..any sifu pls advise.. thanks a lot! hope can join this club soon! haha! delay when stepping on the pedal for campros is normal.. u need to mod abit.. then it will respond faster.. if u install piggyback.. then no delay at all.. QUOTE(zDarkForceSz @ Oct 17 2011, 08:54 PM) my 2005 waja experience..- mounting crack just after warranty finish.. i memang kaki high rev no mercy one.. heheh.. - bearing front left - drive shaft right side bengkok i guess all 3 above attributed from my driving style.. but 2 issues not related to my driving style: - power window main control on driver side shorted out after 5 years.. had to replace it at ori proton service for RM260! before that i tried going to acc. shop where they got the non ori controller for rm100.. tried that and it couldnt work.. - got rattling sound coming from the aircond vent driver side or somewhere behind the speedometer cluster.. it is damn annoying.. its been there since day 1 i got the waja.. its the only consistent sound that keeps disturbing my ride of silence.. |

if your waja is giving you problems and it cost more and more to maintain it then better sell it.. my waja is 'only' 6 years old but is has been problem free so far (crack mounting and wear and tear stuff is all due to my own driving style) so every time i am tempted to sell off my waja i just look back to it and try to remember when it has failed me.. never..
and with some good performance mods like killerom(remap ecu), UltraRacing bars and good rubbers.. the waja is good enough to match other newer cars in its class.. tired of its look? get R3 bodykit and paint a new colour! forte 2.0 is certainly nice.. but the hole burning in the pocket will be bigger also.. but if you got money to burn, go ahead la..
