my 1st car also wira...after working for 4 years, now only thinking should i spend my savings put into d/p for inspira or not. that also can afford 1.8 cvt only. Still pondering and thinking about my decision hahaha....

Cuz there's a much cheaper, reasonable alternative in the saga 1.6.

Yeah, I know that very well. Financial-wise, Inspira is still ok for me. Just that I'm a person who can't really spend money (well other than food) so want to make sure that the Inspira is a car worth buying cuz its another big commitment (the other being a house). That's why I was earlier asking the shi-fu here for opinion about the purchase of this car. Yes, I am asking and looking for security in my decision to buy this car.

Anyway to Kriktikal, I'll say go with the CVT Auto. Ppl say manual might be cooler and faster, but auto is more practical. Look at it in the long run, especially during those everyday, peak jam hours.

this is my personal opinion.

if u can afford the inspira and you like it alot buy it.
if not you'll feel regret later.
many of my friends tries to be financially wise at first get a cheaper car in the end feel not shiok the car not fast enough, don't look nice enough, etc. mod here and there until even more money spent.

Yah true, anyway arranged for a test drive next week at night, the sale guy agreed to allow me to stress the car by going uphill in balik pulau and teluk bahang here biggrin.gif cool2.gif . He wants to prove to me that the MIVEC can handle whatever bukit u give it lol.

He told me that the 2.33% interest loan package is only available for maybank, and the qouta is now full. Anyone able to confirm this?

there is no such thing as a quota.
this is his tactic to hook you in with 2.33% but he cannot get it for you.
then when u oredi decide and kenot undo he will say...."use this bank..."
usually THAT bank he recommend he gets extra commission.

Don't push yourself, if you have other committments, just go buy a cheaper car like the Saga 1.6 (40k is it? value for money!). Most important you must be comfortable with your own financial situation.

Excuse me, but I have to be BLUNT again....

What makes you THINK you can handle the clutch, gear stick, AND handle the power of the car if you have never driven manual car before?? How long have you had your drivers license??

And why the sudden desire to drive manual?? If you are simply listening to others online that manual is way powerful than CVT, its way far from the real truth... paddle shifting (or push/pull gear stick for 1.8CVT) is more efficient to keep the car in its most powerful MIVEC zone (above 4500RPM) and is way faster than you can possible manually shift gears (lift off accelarator, press clutch, change gear with left hand, lift off clutch and press accelerator again... in case you forgot this when you got your license)...

Also, what car are you driving now that makes you even consider manual...?? A 1.8CVT is more powerful than 1.5 engine.... even a kancil can beat you at traffic lights lift off if you are way inefficient in playing the stick....

Get a 2.0 if you can afford, or consider and 1.8.... or get the MT if you wanna learn slowly and humbly.... dont think of performance for a long time if you do get the MT...

This is so true, I practiced for like how many months already but I can just emulate the smoothness of a CVT. RPM sure will drop. Have to get the ngam timing each time u shift gear and press accelerator pedal.

House and food not so much la...hahaa...After downpayment, calculated one month pay about 750 cuz I don't intend to take 90% loan. Take about 50% only.

I see, that's why I feel its fishy. Cuz I feel that the interest rate should be dependent with the bank, not the sales person. Regardless of how many interest I get for my loan package, the "discount" the SA give me should not be affected right?

Thanks! I already have a horrid time maintaining my current wira, due to suddenly most of its wear and tear parts all need to be replaced at the same time (last year, spent 7k on just repairs, and this year another 3k on gearbox and brakes).

Another question, if I don't take the 2.3% loan, am I still eligible for the 5 years warranty?

Standard is 2 years warranty and 2 years free service right? ( i understand that certain service parts i need to pay)

I have also installed these dampers. Cheap and worth the mod. Plug and play. Now I can take corners with more confidence. Highly recommended mod.

The sound of the wind or the road while driving is inevitable. There are some cars that sound can be absorbed properly. For example, Proton Waja, Persona, Toyota Vios, but not the Honda City, Prime and some other cars ...

+1 Totally agreed!

When people ask me why I drive a manual, I say I want equal rights for both legs. If the right feet just gets to play with the pedals, the left leg gets jealous.
