Looking forward to coming next week.
Would you possibly have any advice on accommodation? On campus is unfortunately filled up..
Edu square sounds pretty nice in terms of what's been written about it on the Nottingham MY website.

I'm doing economics this year.... Are you join us this year sept 2011? If yes, you need to get here as soon as possible to pick your electives... as far as I know.. accommodation on campus is full.. you'll have to look for off campus ones...

and never trust the website..

Hey, which of the mobile broadband services have high speed (WCDMA/HSDPA) 3G or 4G and is stable in the TTS2 area? Currently using Digi but the service is unstable, keeps falling back to EDGE and frequently disconnects. Can someone advise?

Classes for BSc Economics has already started my dear.. you're missing a whole week of class right now. But if you have a basic knowledge on A-levels Math and Econs.. should be OK i think

Currently using HOME 59 plan by P1. Coverage is good in the on-campus accommodation. Signal indicator stayed green all the time.

Speed is as advertised (up to 600kbps), decent enough for websites and some gaming.

Works well for multiple devices as well (phone is using this for data)

Hey I'm thinking of getting faster internet connection. The free one in the halls is pretty slow. Would it be advisable to get Maxis broadband for Langkawi hall? Or is it better to just upgrade to 768kbps?

But the internet in the accommodation seems to scan every webpage u go into, thus rendering it very sluggish.

Okay, my turn to join the internet talk.
Anyone with experience with U-mobile 3G coverage in the university and TTS area?
Their prepaid data charge is only 5 cent per MB and that kinds of attracts me.

Not scanning, probably they force you to use their DNS which might not be as responsive as it should be. Nothing we can do about it.
