Helloo,

Just got my offer from the accommodation office today. Apparently I will be put into Perintis Managed Halls? (Pangkor/Kapas). Yay or Nay?

Yup, that's what they say in the website.

rclxms.gif That looks undeniably promising! Hahas didn't say when will it be completed though

QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Aug 7 2011, 05:42 PM)
Well, I can't tell. But I did try to spark something up when they first started that thread.
Here's my response.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=43939533

Did that piss them off?

Anyway, they really have some ugly homepage. We can have stuff like "informative homepage within. Come in!"?
*
D= No, it didn't really bother them.. you should've posted something bold.. add some spice into it rclxm9.gif

*

Well, my third subject is Economic which I believe is irrelevant to the Mechanical course.
So, I'm not sure whether will it be accepted.

Will call up the uni soon to confirm. Thanks anyway  biggrin.gif

hey guys. do you if the on campus single ensuite room has a shower? is there a fridge in the room too? xD
basically what does it have and doesn't?
*
Pretty sure it's a shower.. cause bath tube takes up bigger space and the management is bloody stingy. For the rest of your questions, read first post in this thread "Accommodation Review"

You know.. I'm actually thinking of a page instead of a group, where we can have multi admins across the school/faculty posting up stuffs like ads, accommodation review and all that.

Of course this would need a lot of planning beforehand.
*
It wouldn't be a LYN Nottingham group if we have these people involved. On top of that, there is a facebook group created by SA which is unsurprisingly deserted.

LYN is quite limited when it comes to full fledged ads, photos and other things like that. We could do that in a FB page since we can post notes and all. We could do things what the SA cant do, like posting up rents and selling stuffs.

Which is why I say this thing needs proper planning before a "full release". But I'm so glad that our first page of v4 is so nicely developed.

[edit] My multiple admins doesnt mean those officials from the white building. It means us people here. Like tjj from Engineering, me from Biosciences (Am I the only one here LOL?), Cottoncandyclouds from Business.
Alright, point taken =D

Oh you are not alone in feeling "lonely" (does that even make sense?) lmao

Oh that's because my friend was from there as well with a single room, around rm 300. Hmm, I never been there before, was just browsing through their brochure on accommodation, it seemed not bad to me. lol. May be pictures are always nicer la.
Another friend of mine is studying at IMU, so she rent a master bedroom there in a condominium, around rm 400 excluding utility bills. Kinda feel like the rentals around nottingham are all overpriced, since there's a demand there more than supply. I have a uncle who lived at semenyih last year (around 10km from nott) before he moves to Kedah, he actually rent a whole house with only rm300 p/m. *Not trying to compare here, just feeling a bit heartache on the money that spent on something which are not worth the price, no choice*

entryman, I am from Klang.
*
Please do not do that (traveling to and fro everyday).. klang is far

what course are you doing?

The convenience of staying on-campus is priceless.

I travelled back and forth for my Moral Studies from Puchong in June. Even from there also it is a bit exhausting. And I'm only doing it 3 times a week. I can't imagine from Klang.

University life is incomplete without some stay away-from-home experience.
*
I will have to take Moral Studies again =( didn't bother to do anywork last time

I had lower expectations. I sensed the attitude in UNMC was mostly goody two shoes.  tongue.gif
*
I can't survive without having at least 2 bottles of wines stocked in my cupboard (Yes, I'm aware of the halal rules in accommodation)

Speaking of halals... hmm.gif aren't you suppose to be refraining yourself from liqueur? I'm presuming vast majority of turkish are muslims >.<

Hey! PK said I could check in as soon as 1 of September, as contrary to the letter sent by admission office. =D Meet up soon so we could do some food-hunting session? drool.gif

Well I don't believe in religion. Consider myself Agnostic for now. But just because of this, it doesn't mean I'm not a responsible caring person who is civilized and aware of moral values.
My parents have given me the free pass to experiment and see if I want to be associated with religion.

This is how the new generation of people are turning up to be in middle east nowadays despite of the Islamic laws especially with the likes of Iranians, Turkish, Lebanese, etc. Not everyone but majority of this young generation I'd say.

Are you Muslim or what?
*
Just wondering.. you're not, by any chance, Berk Ozturk.. are you?
