First year UG student here! Doing MEng Civil Engineering.
Darn didn't know the free internet is only 128kbps. Anyone know if P1 or any other wireless broadband services have coverage here?

Anyone know how P1 4G works? The modem that they provide, does it provide internet through wifi or wired link to the computer?

Can devices like phones with wifi use it?

Signing up for P1 4G for accommodation use. But I don't know the exact address to fill in the "service address" section.

Anyone knows the exact address of Tioman Hall for example?

Currently using HOME 59 plan by P1. Coverage is good in the on-campus accommodation. Signal indicator stayed green all the time.

Speed is as advertised (up to 600kbps), decent enough for websites and some gaming.

Works well for multiple devices as well (phone is using this for data)

i'd choose the 768...cheaper and no quota

But the internet in the accommodation seems to scan every webpage u go into, thus rendering it very sluggish.

Okay, my turn to join the internet talk.
Anyone with experience with U-mobile 3G coverage in the university and TTS area?
Their prepaid data charge is only 5 cent per MB and that kinds of attracts me.

If you check the coverage on U mobile's website, it says there is no coverage at all in Semenyih area. Take note of that.

anyone here doing civil engineering?
im a first year.
I think my structural and engineering mechanics lecturer sucks
since after A-levels Ive been wanting to deal with 3D problems, such as forces in 3D, moments, statics, all in 3D. I thought that I will learn it in my degree

mana tau,
my lecturer skips all the slides for the 3D tutorials, as if they are not important. Then he stresses A LOT on some very fundamental knowledge, such as the arrow of a vector indicates its sense, length  magnitude, how to add or subtract vectors, etc etc.
problem is, a test is coming next week and I found out from the book he recommended to buy (which is supposedly a text book?) that there are a lot more to those 3D problems. And he didnt even touch on them.

Now im worried, if 3D is included in the test, I have a lot to catch up. He didnt even teach.

O_O I thought he was one of the better lecturers. I'm a first year civil student too.

are you serious?
did you see the way he skips the slides or were you not listening and got scolded by him so you think he is good just because he scolded you?
*
First thing, why are you assuming he scolded me? And why would I think he is good because he scolded me?
And no he did not scold me.

3D IS fundamental. It is just a combination of vectors and forces. Honestly it is part of pre-university teaching, and the lecturer did ask you to read up on your own if you can't catch up. Don't expect a lecturer to teach you every single thing for your exams.
