^Mine will arrive around 8th Oct. I'll try and see if I can get some speed tests running.

Though it's more recommended to take their monthly RM28 unlimited mobile internet package. They say the 5sen/MB is per session, meaning if your session only use 10kB and then disconnect, you'll still be charged 5sen.

Anyone live/recommend TTS4/5/7? Is there anything special about 7? (It was not mentioned in the first few posts..)

Also, does anyone know the average class size? If specifically for Undergraduate Economics, that would be great...

Thanks !

Okay, my turn to join the internet talk.
Anyone with experience with U-mobile 3G coverage in the university and TTS area?
Their prepaid data charge is only 5 cent per MB and that kinds of attracts me.

If you check the coverage on U mobile's website, it says there is no coverage at all in Semenyih area. Take note of that.

^IINM there's no trials. Clubs are for people with common interests to converge. There are trials/tryouts for the faculty teams when it's time for the Tri-Campus Games.

Of course it's not. Pin the quote to your signature, adjust it with bold or color or whatever for the words. It's easier to be noticed that way. If you just rely on a single post chances are it gets drowned and unnoticed. biggrin.gif

Just for those interested of TTS7 - I was contacted by an agent and I quote:

"This is a brand new houses with fully furnished: bed, cupboard, desk, fridge, washing machine, microwave, air cond,WiFi . U can rent the whole house or a room."

The rental for the room goes from 400-550 according to what you're looking for.

Hope this helps. Anyone else with information on TTS7 or anyone with availability in TTS4/5; it would be appreciated if you could share this knowledge!

Thanks in advance!

IMHO, TTS7 is really too far away from campus, accessible by using bus / van only. I don't like to be bound by the bus schedule. Unless you are willing to walk, it will takes 25-30 minutes to campus.

I'm staying in TTS5, it takes around 10-15 minutes to reach your classroom, or a more common place - Student Association, which is quite a long way! I don't like the climbing part, if I were given chance, I'll take single room on-campus, convenient is still my main concern! smile.gif

For the rental rate, RM400-RM550 will be a normal price, depends on what type of room you take. I'll advise you to take a visit to the room before you make any decision. biggrin.gif

TTS3 took about 20 minutes to reach the fountain. And I just hate that sweaty feeling right before entering the class. So usually what I do is, I leave another 10 minutes earlier, when I reach the campus I'll go right to TCR or Library to bath the air cond. And then enter the class without the sweat and all. tongue.gif

You know if you are in UK, if you get a room that is within 30 minutes walk to your campus, you are considered living in a good unit already. Just find it ironic about Malaysians view about walking. No offense.

Get a bicycle or bike. That should help out a lot for those hating to walk.

It's not ironic really if you consider the humidity in Malaysia and UK. You may walk 30 min in UK and you may still smell like you're fresh from the shower. (even with summer, their air is still dry).. But if you spend your time more than 10mins in Malaysia at a typical weather, you might stink like a fish.

I don't like to be sweating before I go to a 4 hours back-to-back class =P

Thanks for the info..
I'll be coming in next week and seeing what's available from there.
I've also had an offer to stay at TTS2, any information on this? I've heard it's quite far though.

When trying to get something in TTS4/5, I was told nothing was available.. so really unsure atm on what to take.

It's the email circulated for students. You need to officially become a student, get a username and log on to your email account for that.
