Scivation extend intraworkout supp Review:
Taste :8/10 taste like 100+ with out the gas.
effectiveness:Works like 100+ give you extra burst of energy to lift that last rep.8/10
Price:RM190 lasted me for around 3month++ so rm190/100days=RM1.90 a day same as 100+ with out the sugar so its ok for me. 8/10

need advice from all the sifus here. About a year ago, that time i was only about 63 kg with 183cm height and Ppl called me as bamboo stick.. =.='.. so i started my workout in my Uni gym.. I took whey protein 3 times and 1 whole gardenia bread per day for 3 months n i gained 15kg. My family saw how obvious i gained weight, better shape and bigger body especially chest by only 3 months then started to ask me stop taking whey protein due to they were concern about my healthy as too much intake of protein might cause kidney fail.. so i stopped, then the problem comes.. even how hardcore i lifted, the shape still the same n not growing at all.. no matter how much i eat n workout, the muscle not growing but the tummy grows =.='.. I'm wondering, shall i take whey protein again so that my protein intake is enough for my muscle building while not giving too much of fat for my tummy.. anyway i'm still not a fat guy.. vertical or horizontal, my chest still bigger than my tummy..
pls advice sifus!..

then i shall also call you a bamboo stick.

you notice how bamboos tend to bend when pressure is applied? you're like that.

go back to doing what you did, do your research and grow a spine.

I'm a doctor and I tell you that for a normal person with no renal impairment, it's fine. Tell your family I said they're idiots.

Added on February 29, 2012, 7:51 pmI may sound harsh and I apologize but I will not retract my statement. having done postings in urology surgery and medical renal, again if no renal impairment nor family history of aforementioned condition, no cause for alarm.

frankly speaking.. it is harsh.. u r a doctor with ur professional knowledge compared with not educated ppl.. they might be more like idiots in front of you.. but they care and concern about my health.. anyway.. u as a doctor said take protein would not cause anything bad to the health (If Im not mistaken ur words).. then i will start taking it again.. Oh ya.. i dont c anything wrong about the bamboo stick part as they based on the outlook of bamboo (very thin n long) and take it as an adjective..

anyway, still thx for ur advice.. smile.gif

Darklight, how much caffeine does your suggestion provide? Been drinking 800ml Pepsi MAX intra-workout. Got 96mg of caffeine from it.

.....

seriously? Pepsi?

caffeine is meant as a pre workout. dosage varies depending on individual. just take a couple of tablespoons of COFFEE before working out. Black, as little or no sugar as possible.

yeah. Pepsi Max. 0 calorie 12mg of caffeine per serving. I asked my nutritionist and she said that Pepsi Max does not contain any sugar in it.

12mg is barely anything. 8 ounces of green tea (which is about 240ml) contains approx. 35mg of caffeine. That same volume of coffee contains 100-200mg. Go figure, man.

1 drank 8 serving of Pepsi Max equivalent of 96mg of caffeine throughout my workout. That is not cheap. RM 2.90 per 1.5l. Can you suggest me coffee brand that have lots of caffeine.

Pepsi Max, Pepsi Light and Coke Light does not have any sugar in it but the only differences between them is MAX have lots of caffeine; 180 mg per 1.5l and the other two doesn't. I substitute my drinking water with Pepsi so I'm taking it intra workout. Hard to consume 800ml of Pepsi before workout.

Caffeine's meant to be a pre-workout supplement, so you can benefit from its effects WHILE you're working out. Taking it intra workout, is not going to be as good since most probably you'll only get the energy after you're done, which needless to say is quite pointless. A cup or two of coffee can give you that amount of caffeine, at a fifth/third of the volume. Plus, drinking water during your workout is a whole lot more important than chugging down Pepsi.

From my experience, drinking diet soda would also trigger insulin spike, because your taste butt sends signal to your brain on the sweetness taste frpm your tongue, hence insulin is release. This faulty insulin response would cause fat gain as well.

This is from my real experience, I had this friend who i guide on and off came to me saying he is stagnant on weight loss, and found he was taking diet soda. Asked him to stop, in less than 3 weeks, we saw results.

its okay to take diet soda, say you are addicted to soda like 4-5 can a day, and to cut down on calories, as a start you could use diet soda, assist in calorie reduction, but eventually one should just cut it off from daily intake. Once in a while is still fine.

coffee is good, take as what Mike/Dan had mentioned; take it before workout, if its too bitter for you, 3/4 or one teaspoon of sugar is fine lah. This equates to about 4 gram of sugar which is way better than soda, which equals to about 10 teaspoon!
