frankly speaking.. it is harsh.. u r a doctor with ur professional knowledge compared with not educated ppl.. they might be more like idiots in front of you.. but they care and concern about my health.. anyway..  u as a doctor said take protein would not cause anything bad to the health (If Im not mistaken ur words).. then i will start taking it again.. Oh ya..  i dont c anything wrong about the bamboo stick part as they based on the outlook of bamboo (very thin n long) and take it as an adjective..

anyway, still thx for ur advice..  smile.gif

You are taking his advice like a pro. Gratz to you man.

Plain black pure espresso 3-4 teaspoons. Period. I'm teaching you to save money and telling you most supplements are overrated.

Darklight, how much caffeine does your suggestion provide? Been drinking 800ml Pepsi MAX intra-workout. Got 96mg of caffeine from it.

.....

seriously? Pepsi?

caffeine is meant as a pre workout. dosage varies depending on individual. just take a couple of tablespoons of COFFEE before working out. Black, as little or no sugar as possible.
*
yeah. Pepsi Max. 0 calorie 12mg of caffeine per serving. I asked my nutritionist and she said that Pepsi Max does not contain any sugar in it.

QUOTE(-Dan @ Feb 29 2012, 10:05 PM)
12mg is barely anything. 8 ounces of green tea (which is about 240ml) contains approx. 35mg of caffeine. That same volume of coffee contains 100-200mg. Go figure, man.
*
1 drank 8 serving of Pepsi Max equivalent of 96mg of caffeine throughout my workout. That is not cheap. RM 2.90 per 1.5l. Can you suggest me coffee brand that have lots of caffeine.

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Feb 29 2012, 10:05 PM)
well whaddaya know i learnt something today, lol.

but caffeine is meant to be a preworkout, not intra.
*
Pepsi Max, Pepsi Light and Coke Light does not have any sugar in it but the only differences between them is MAX have lots of caffeine; 180 mg per 1.5l and the other two doesn't. I substitute my drinking water with Pepsi so I'm taking it intra workout. Hard to consume 800ml of Pepsi before workout.

Nice advice there pedro.

It seems that the first thing that comes in mind of a new weightlifter is supplementation but they are wrong actually.

Added on March 27, 2012, 5:50 pmHi guys. i'm just want to ask about whey protein (not that I want to buy them, just for my knowledge).

It seems that many users opt for Dymatize Elite Whey and Gaspari MyoFusion for their protein supplement. Does anyone have tried MusclePharm Combat Powder? It is not isolate (whey only) but the advert says that it has so much benefit in their blend.

Care to comment on it?

I've read an article about consuming your creatine. There are three ways:
1. creatine + plain water
2. creatine + glucose drink
3. creatine + insulin mimicking agents

how do you consumed your creatine and why?

Can anyone verify these negative claims about whey?

http://www.proteinbreakthrough.com/

Recommended read for those who take whey

I don't think that the information stated in there are valid. For me, it is just a marketing gimmick to sell the 'new type' of whey protein that does not have any side effects that the author have stated before. If what he said is true, why doesn't supplements' company do anything to clarify for it?

My myo probiotic is finishing in another 2 days, so I'm planning to get 2 tubs of new protein in case next time they out of stock again (eji and musclesup stock coming soon)

Syntha-6 vs Myofusion Probiotic vs Nitro-Tech. I've taken the latter 2 before and am currently considering syntha but it only has 22g compared to myo's 24 and seems that myo has a better ingredient profile too. any syntha user can give some review? or should I stick to another 2 tubs of myo probiotic? love the cookies and cream
*
Why don't you try Muscle Pharm Combat Powder? well, I'm not using it atm as I'm not using any supplement yet but it seems that MP Combat Powder get a lot of good reviews out there.

Btw, I'm ordering MP Combat Powder and MP Creatine from musclesup and they will restock both of the supplements in mid May.

I typically drink protein first thing in the morning and a scoop post-workout. since i'm getting 2 tubs i might as well get different ones for different purposes, so i'm thinking 1 100% ON whey and 1 blend, probably myofusion probiotic; so which is best consumed in the morning and which one post workout? biggrin.gif
*
As far as I know, 100% ON whey is a protein isolate (100% whey) and MyoFusion is protein blend (whey + egg albumin + soy protein + milk protein etc). 100% ON should be consume post workout as it is fast digesting protein and MyoFusion for breakfast as it has slow digesting blend which will make you quite full. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey guys, anyone taking Xtend / No Xplod or anything like that?

I want to know how effective it is in helping to cut fat. I'm on a cutting phase now, trying to reduce my body fat.
*
Both of them are pre-workout boosters and I'm sure you know about it. I don't think that they have any effects on fat burning because they didn't have any fat burning ingredient (Caffeine, Yohimbe, CLA, L-Carnitine, etc2)

Don't forget to add OxyElite Pro. I've lost 6kg of pure fat using this product; although I've messed my diet for two weeks.

Added on April 10, 2012, 1:21 pmBeen thinking to buy Creatine after my cutting phase is over and it seems that there are 7 types of creatine and the three most famous are:

1. Creatine Monohydrate
2. Buffered Creatine @ Kre-Alkalyn
3. Conjugated Creatine

which one is better from your opinion?

Hey guys, does anyone know where can I get Ephedrine and Caffeine in capsule form? I'm doing an EC Stack. Tried 4 pharmacies and 2 Guradian outlets and none of them seems to ever heard about it.

Sounds like you don't need gainers. You need...
Wait for it...
WHOLE FOOD

Look at all the fat people you know, do you see any of them chugging weight gainers?
*
I am truly agree with this. You spend almost RM 1k for those three tubs right? If you are not eating right, might be better you not working out. All those hard work inside the gym will be futile as you didn't provide your body with enough nutrition to grow.

so, how are you going to increase muscle mass when you need 3500++ calorie to bulk? will you be taking 3 servings of mass gainers a day? that will empty 1 tub within 1 week man...

QUOTE(gnsumas @ Apr 11 2012, 10:39 PM)
You can get by on 1g per lb of bodyweight easily.

If you're busy with work, prepare your food ahead of time. Boil a few eggs and grill a few chicken breasts before you go to bed and put them in containers. If you have to eat out, buy a double/triple portion. If you are not financially stable, I can sympathize, but you obviously aren't.

As the guy before me said, how're you gonna grow once your macros go up? Too many liquid meals and you'll get hemorrhoids.
*
Hey man, that previous guy before you got a name ok. Hahaha.

Joke aside. What gnsumas said is very true. I once cook a large pot of porridge with lots of shredded chicken breast, shrimps, shrooms and anything in between and I store it inside the fridge. whenever I need to eat, just preheat them and it's chowing time. You can also buy around 2 kg of chicken breasts and make 'sambal ayam' and bring them to your office for lunch, or just eat them for your dinner. Just cook for a week's portion and eat whenever you need.
