How is that is untrue?

well, msia has a bigger land mass as compared to sg... no matter what, msia will have more trees XD

if you take sg as a city state vs kl+pj+subang... i believe the msia cities still have more trees because of the size

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Jun 8 2011, 07:51 AM)
Hmm I probably will take M1 since many friends I know are using starhub cable broadband, so I would assume majority users at my HDB unit are using Starhub... by choosing M1 most probably I wont share the same bandwidth with them... Or M1 and Starhub is sharing the same bandwidth per HDB?
*
m1 on cable? if yes then yes lor... just that they are on diff freq...

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Jun 8 2011, 09:00 AM)
Actually having alot of airconds within near proximity to each other in an area which is building dense would have an increase in ambient temperature.
*
if the compressor/cooler unit is at the top floor then no lor... leak will be mainly at the bottom therefore cooling the lower areas, and heat will be dump few hundred meters above ground level... some buildings adopt this natural cooling thingie working on the same principle...

Obviously I can't be referring to the absolute number of trees, isn't it? For tree cover and foliage to affect the ambient temperature, the rational reference is to the density of trees per unit of area. That's just common sense.

no lor, partially true....

what you have in mind is to compare density at a certain fixed area only therefore defining a boundary... if you take a fixed boundary external cooling due to greenery have to be taken into account also

sg's area is fixed and it is surrounded by the sea... if lets say the sea have no effect on the cooling of singapore then msian cities would surely be cooler due to it being surrounded by greenery eventhough density might be lower inside its boundaries... its surroundings will also provide the cooling effect, if you just to compare greenery la...

but because singapore is an island and they have lots of water reservoir at the centre, naturally sg will be cooler... than lets say klang valley, a valley being a natural heat trapper

P and Q passes are considered E pass.
http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/pas...es/default.aspx

There are 3 types of Employment pass >> P1, P2 and Q1.

Which Malaysian city has more trees in the city itself compared to Singapore? In Ipoh, ever since city council went on a tree uprooting binge 10 years ago, there are no longer any real trees in the town or residential areas.

And I don't recall any Malaysian city being "surrounded" by greenery. There'sf course jungle still in Malaysia, but it's nowhere near enough any major city to play a part in it's urban environment.

No idea. If I go by the website then it seems like work permit can't apply PR. But I also recall reading in this thread a while ago that somebody's friend(s) on WP did manage to apply PR *shrug*

Get S-Pass first? Requirements don't seem that hard to get also mah. http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/pas...es/default.aspx

Qualify does not mean you will get it.
A lot of ppl qualify as PR but still did not get it.
2.2 is S-pass as mentioned.
The pass is more towards salary based.
You want an e-pass, demand higher pay or just suck up and accept and improve yourself to qualify for a better pay.

No problem.
Pay range always differ.
My friend started a job with 1.9 only with almost no exp (well, 6 months is considered none) laugh.gif laugh.gif
Then I know of someone who is a fresh grad doing a different field from study earning more than me (5 years related exp) sweat.gif sweat.gif
S-pass or e-pass, it should be almost the same...you are still a foreigner working your butt off. laugh.gif laugh.gif
