QUOTE(alaskanbunny @ May 28 2011, 09:08 AM) probably... i am in a medium size listed company and my results is even worse than you XD but i think i am doing fine ^^ good for you. my main concern will be unfamiliarity with singaporean companies and costs to attend interviews with no high assurance to get the job.

QUOTE(jae @ May 29 2011, 09:34 PM) For fresh grads in mid-tier firms (e.g BDO, RSM, Howarth etc), salary range around $2.2k - $2.4k. then i would expect even lower if i were to join 3rd-tier like Alliance or Russell Bedford

QUOTE(jae @ May 30 2011, 12:26 AM) Hmm honestly I have no idea how much those small local firms are paying though, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are paying like $2k or less. Why would you only set your target at those small firms? Mid-tier firms shouldn't be too hard to join if you have a proper tertiary education (degree/acca) I reckon. as i only have 2nd class lower degree from UTAR. planning to take ACCA though.

QUOTE(deodorant @ Jun 15 2011, 12:44 PM) mnc ceo earns way more than 24k ringgit. nowadays 24k is like senior manager or division head already earns that. agree. CEO normally earns >RM1 million annually especially in PLC.

QUOTE(Aloong @ Jun 15 2011, 08:59 PM) My suggestion: Do some research thru internet to gauge the pricing. I can't rmbr the website, but u can check the first page of this forum. Then come 3 days, starting Friday morning, buy newspaper and start calling. 90% of the time the advert is thru agent. That doesn't mean u just 'rely' on one agent. Agent or not has its pro and cons, as discuss/argued in this forum. So just go with flow, and whichever unit u fell is rite. Btw, make sure u have enuf $ (1mth deposit + 1 month advance+ 0.5 month agent fee (if any) + few hundreds for utility). Added on June 15, 2011, 9:13 pmGood for u. Better ask all the stupid question u wan now. Ur chances of asking stupid question gets lesser wen u climb higher ranking. Better to be stupid for a day (espcially in forum where ppl dunno u), than be stupid for the rest of ur life 0.5 month agent fee is painful. normally landlord or tenant pays? few hundreds for utilities? why is it so expensive?

QUOTE(milopeng @ Jun 17 2011, 03:29 PM) yes you can. if u're on postpaid, u might need to activate your autoroam. Just call DG helpline to double verify. It's free. IMO, it's cheaper to just get a temp SG prepaid SIM. as @seantang mentioned, autoroaming charges are expensive. how much for a prepaid SG SIM roughly? thanks for your help.

sometimes i'm thinking, is it because they dont value your experience much in Malaysia or they prefer their local ones barring the hassle to get work permit for foreigners?

QUOTE(fon @ Jul 3 2011, 01:17 PM) guys, wish ask some question 1)what is the cheapest way go&return between sg and kl during weekend? 2)what is the cheapest airline go&return between sg and kl during weekend? 3)anyone drive bek kl on weekend from sg and return to sg on sun? my gf is in kl.. i work sg. so.. pening.. pls help! 1. cheapest way is always by bus but it also takes the longest time. From KL, just take express bus. from SG, the ticket will be in SGD and thus when you're comparing both in RM, it's twice more expensive. therefore, you go to kranji, take SBS transit 170 to larkin (JB bus station), then only you buy ticket to go to KL.
