QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 19 2007, 09:29 PM) Compare this: You've just said the exact thing i was about to say High end aircooling with normal fan. Temps: So-So. "True" Watercooling with silent fan. Temps: even better than high end aircooling with normal fan. Notice that i put "True" infront of the watercooling words. Because it's only directed to the real PC Watercooling parts / kits that's not just pleasing to the eye, but a real performer. Not just CM, Thermaltake products. And "true" water cooling would be most brands beside thermaltake/coolermaster previously with Apogee GT my 3.5Ghz Windsor X2 is running on 1.5vcore, my idle temp is about 32c idle and max 38c on load, doesnt sounds very good doesnt it? Well.. think again, both fan on my rad is running 400RPM only, non audible unless u slap ur ears on the rad. It took my xigmatek S1283 approx 2.4k RPM to produce result similar to this, the fans were screaming at me all the way to my toilet and back. And also, a very big advantage of externally mounted rad, the hot air is dissipated OUTSIDE your casing, unlike normal heatsinks, hot air is flowed back inside the case before being pulled by your exhaust unless an air duct is made =) QUOTE(IcEMoCHa @ Dec 19 2007, 09:33 PM) well... a consolation to myself would be... it is indeed future proof, not forever but will definately last me 3-5 years even with my hardwares swapped in/out. Even if a new platform is introduced in the future, mounting kits/brackets for waterblock are easy to DIY unlike those in a huge heatsink, worst comes to worst... ziptie is always your best friend This post has been edited by AoiNatsume: Dec 19 2007, 11:29 PM |

I know metalzone is gonna screw me for this but finally installed the hi-flow brbs drom DD on my Storm. Seems it allows faste bleeding of airlocks but on the downside reverted back to my old BIP radiator which is a bit restrictive compared to the MCR220. Still gurgling but will run it a few days to bleed out the airlock

@amd_hardcore
Just for you men, haven't install yet. Had a virus attack yesterday so busy with re installation but went into trouble after realized that my CPU score in 3DMark06 is half of what I should scored. ![]() ![]() ![]() Extra 2 pairs of D-Tek High flow 1/2" Water bart. ![]() D-Tek Accelerator Nozzle Kit ![]() Very nice and secured worm clamp ..... ![]() A pair of Yate Loon fans for testing only. Too bad doesn't comes with speed sensor. This post has been edited by Doom: Dec 20 2007, 09:34 PM |

Btw, i do notice that the fuzion's base is rather well lapped unlike other WB that ive used. It is just as you see in doom's pictars. |

It's to concentrate the water flowing direction to focus on the cpu die ...
Hence more water is flowing at greater pressure passing through the CPU die area before it spread and flow out from the block .... |

So far I noticed immediate few degrees on difference for both idle and load ..
I'm not sure how better it could get after the thermal paste is sit in properly.. Besides I used up my MX-1 already .. so have to get a tube of MX-2 soon.. Current result: On D-Tek Idle 29c load 38c On Apogee GT Idle 34c load 44c |

To ppl that using nozzle for their DTek Fuzion, make sure you have a good/strong pump to pair with it and choose the most suitable size else u will get a worse result compare before using those nozzle. This is because those nozzle is a flow killer. So beware.. But anyway anyhow, I am an one happy user of those nozzle. Using those Quad core nozzle now. Can see some difference on the temp.
Added on December 21, 2007, 9:17 am QUOTE(AoiNatsume @ Dec 19 2007, 07:05 PM) yup... that was my whole point of water cooling... undoubtedly high end air cooling are good... but their performance also comes with noise. I had to disagree on this. High end WC that used good / low cfm fan radiator dont really make that much of noise. You can even run passive (all fan off on radiator or some air flow from case fan) during non full load usage during surfing net and so on. QUOTE(amd_hardcore @ Dec 20 2007, 11:51 PM) owh im think about something ler... if u want to change pump, only get DB1 if u want a real silent pump. Nevertheless it is a cheap and reasonable strong pump.when i look at my gigabyte pump look a like D-TEK DB-1.... LOL btw doom , dats a cool blocks... can tell me wats de fuction of nozel???? Can see some difference on the temp. bro, that was exactly my point. Watercooling cna be run passively and works efficiently even on low RPM unlike air cooling.Added on December 21, 2007, 9:17 am I had to disagree on this.
