Look at both side......

Installation-performance-Maintenance- Cost -RISK
high end cooler: Moderate - Middle High - Low - Medium - Low
Water Cooler : Difficult - Superb - High - High - Medium High

don't compared on one side only ...

swiftech? i never seen swiftech in malaysia before...
is there any shops in KL / malaysia selling swiftech???

You could found in bulk order if not mistaken ... of course don;t be surprise with the price... you could PM sHawTY since he recently got the set..

QUOTE(irangan @ Jan 8 2007, 11:26 PM)
point blanc, next time try not to reply like that... you will get warned by the mod later. use multiple quote in one post.

CL-W0038 would have better flexibility as you could change the size of the connector for the tube while the other one can't.

setting the fan pushing is better than pulling but in the same time it generate more noise then pulling.

i am not so familiar with using distill water for WC.. i think u could refer to the water cooling discussion topic..

anyway this whole topic should be joined with the wc discussion topic..

What do u mean by the statement u made ???

this topic was created individually before joined with the WC discussion ..

i reply the topic starter before it was joined.... what's wrong with that then ???

next time don't reply something irrelevant when u didn't even know what's going on ...

u think i am so noob that can't even read ... although i hardly discuss anything here but that does not mean i have never read anything from this topic .....

back off and apologize for what u said ...

care to explain why ?? it would be more meaningful to put down statement with elaboration..

i am curious too since i hardly touch WC after big disappointment with TT Bigwater SE .... of course it is uncomparable with swiftech and other well known brand ...

what's wrong of having dual pass then ?

the slower movement of the water within the rad would results of what ??

hmm .. basically lots of other people uses distill water or battery water with mixture of coolant liquid..

the car radiator coolant would easily penetrate the inner tube surface which results the tube surface has left with the color of the coolant itself...

impossible to clean in the end.. .

hahahha .. seems like sHawTY is really damn pissed off with TT or CM WC stuffs...

but anyway that's the very truth coz I was one of the TT wc user that got disappointed so much despite RM500+ that spent on the sucky TT wc kit ...

No match to a high end air cooler ... and far from real WC kit ...

If really running low on budget than Gigabyte is a better option ..

at least doesn't performs too bad ...

Just curious .. how good Apogee GT could work on stock E6600 running dual rad.

my CPU temperature isn't up to expectation compared to the VGA card block's performance...

ic ic .. maybe use to performance of good air cooling heatsink ...that's why don't feel much different ..

but at least it improve the condition at load ...

so it does pay off...

bowed the GT would be possible solution but it won't be good one coz can't reverse the process in the end ..

Besides I'm running my rig all at default speed and the gc block is showing good result.. I'm not sure how good triple rad would does on my current loop .... should be a bit better but not on par ...

QUOTE(Liuteva @ Oct 16 2007, 06:56 PM)
Hi . want to ask why i use Gemin II last time .

Idle - 37 ~ 38
Load - 45 ~ 47

Now i changed to Gigabyte 3D Galaxy

Idle - 37 ~ 38
Load - 40 ~ 42

It is not much different . Am i choosed wrong liquid cooling system or its is normal ?
*
hmm coz that isn't the best cooling kit ever, it's just an entry level to wc ..

it's better than thermaltake but still par from other well known brand like ..swiftech, alphacool, and etc ..

if u really want a distinctive results than look for no other than those brands that's really does the job well.

QUOTE(HaHaNoCluE @ Oct 16 2007, 09:00 PM)
i'm oso not sure, i tried variuos method but it seems like the cpu ain't benefiting much from wc... the nb n gpu gaining the most out of it... however i does shows more stable temp for my cpu...
*
Yah same here, idle temperature doesn't get any better but the load temperature better than using air cooling ..

I think a better block would does it better, the true potential of the block only unveil when proc has been OCed ..

Like u said other component really get benefits more .. like my GPU .. hooo 40c of difference when comes to load ..

I could never go back to air cooling for gc to achieve such result and as the generation move one the gc just doesn't get any cooler ... especially among ATI higher end model ..

Yah u got the whole concept right LExus65 ..

Indeed like what he described is true.... it only brings down the heat level close to ambient temperature during idle but won't really close to especially not with gc ..

the reason of having wc is not having high load temperature that would increases the temperature within the case affecting other component that's not cooled by wc ...

btw my 2900XT temperature is as following:

Stock cooler with MX-1 thermal paste
Idle: 65c Load: 88c

WC Kit dual rad with Artic Cooling case fan@34cfm each:
Idle: 43~4c Load 48c

That's 40c +- difference ... brows.gif

One term investment that has not regret would be better than upgrading part by part .. coz water cooling kit hardly got price drop only phase out ...

So invest on good block especially cpu block cos it could last year 2 years at least ... which don't know how many air cooler got purchase hoping the performance would come close to wc..

Invest wisely and the kit could last long, only pump and tube need replacement as time passed ... of course coolant as well .. but it won't be too costly compared to the performance gained ..

go triple rad and with good block .. surely it could goes up to 4ghz ...

as long as u have the space to confine the rad it would be all right ...

or probably run a dual loop one for each block .. hahahah money money ..where is it.....

hhaha .. just do a regular cleaning and changing the coolant would do the trick ..

It's simply like cleaning the drain of the house often to prevent those wacky stuffs growing along the drain .,... hahaha

I don't think anyone that is serious about wc would recommend using aquagate120 coz the performance is not even at the same level as top air cooler ..

so most would suggests just choose a good air cooler rather than investing in least performing wc kit ..

besides if u remove the tube from either component, that would void ur warranty ..

apart from that, there won't be much of improvement even with reservoir installed..

It's doing fine .... but it all depend on how much of performance u are looking out from the wc setup ..

some want to OC aggressively, a better CPU block and triple rad..

some like me just casual wc user that look for silent and cool, apogee GT and dual rad would do just fine ...

It all depend how what u want .. and do remember to specify the size of the barb and tube that gonna use...

Barb is a connector between ur cooling device and tube ... Usually comes with different size for the thread and the hose ...

a bigger size allowed more water flow but the tube would be difficult to manage as compared to smaller tubes ..

However I don't think there would be anyone that is serious with wc would not recommend to get larger size .. usually it's 1/2 Inch

user posted image

Shorter tube would not improve the temperature if ur pump is pushing enough of flow .. which is determine by how many litter or gallon per minute ...

higher it is it could push the water within the loop faster .. so the length of the tubes doesn't affect too much ..

besides with longer tube that mean more water and it could managed more heats produced by the component ..

Imagine you're boiling two kettles of water with 1L in one of it and 2L in another one .. with the same heat level, which kettle would boiled first ?? obviously is the kettle with lesser water .. so got the idea right .
