common misconceptions.

the power of workstation graphics are tuned for refresh rates, meaning any 2D jobs will be extremely fast and stable. 3D refresh rates is considerably better, especially openGL based software like sketchup. rendering wise has nothing to do with graphics card, it's all about processor and ram, which is what the workstation is built around for.

trust me, if u're not going down the workstation path with RM7k, u're building a gaming machine. kan kan kan?

interior architecture/design is about the interiors of a building.

architecture is about the whole thing.

pretty descriptive actually.

architects can do interior design, they just dont have time for it. interior architects/designers on the other hand arent qualified to do architecture.

taylor's part 1 can now be used to apply to any IPTAs for part 2 like UTM, USM, UPM, UiTM, UM or UIAM.

i do not recommend u to go to unaccredited schools with taylor's degree. and the term is not 'transfer', but 'continue'. if u request transfers, u wont get it, bcoz people understand transfers differently wink.gif.

by the time u finish part 1, UTM will already be offering masters for part 2. come join us!

UiTM is the only other university offering masters part 2 in malaysia.

Thanks for your valuable info here.

May I know the differences between part 2 and part 2 masters that UTM is offering?

What are the admission rate for such U like UTM?

Here's something Mr. Loy Teik Inn posted on facebook, he's the Vice-President of Marketing for Taylor's University:

""Taylor's school or architecture, building an design just got their part 1 degree accredited by LAM!!! We are now the first and only private university to be recognized! Yes!!!""

professional wise, no difference.

but academic wise, with masters u can skip straight to PhD. also if u join government pay scheme, it'll be a lot higher than just a degree holder. some other perks come with it as well. but like i said, when u talk about practice, it's the same.

Hello once again...haha...2nd sem/dip in arch..i know i've got a long way...i personally wanted to study dip to learn more of the basics also higher chances getting into UTM since i screwed up my SPM? haha...so yea i've got questions to any experienced peeps here...

1) Is the architect a specialist or a generalist?
2) Is the architect working for the client or for society?
3) How is wheat 'padi' is related to architecture?
4) For the UTM student intake...what is the most important thing to be selected (communication skill? portfolio? being good in interviews?)

also i heard there's this law OR regulation called 'CCC' not sure of it though but what i heard is that if there's a faulty or if the building designed by an architect collapse...(even if it's his workers fault) the architect takes blame for it...i mean before the dewan bandaraya peeps are the ones to inspect and all right so now the architects? how true is this or am i wrong rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Quick question..

Is 3k salary a lot to ask for for part 1 grad from Australia with 2 years working experience?

Without any other information/portfolio, does this sounds a lot?

Applying for a firm in Subang Jaya

1. I wonder...by the time I get Part 2 at UiTM...I would be having a master right?

2. Can I become lecturer on architecture? Or I need to get Part 3 first? Or there are other special requirements?

3. Can I continue for PHD after that?
