well we can say architecture is not 100% exam papers, but there are still exams nonetheless. in architecture, u're required to produce, present and defend ur design. something not everybody can do. sure, u can answer questions when asked, but defending ur answer is something u've never been trained before in primary or secondary school.

this is one of the reasons why a lot of people drop out. people came in to do architecture with little understanding of how rigorous it can be. i've interviewed hundreds of candidates. most thought design is something like pre-school art: just paint anything with brush or fingers and the teacher would put it up on the class wall.

well it's the absolute opposite of that. if u want ur work to be up there, u better be damn sure u've sorted all the problems in the design. some designers just assume 'owh i just put a door here...'. but the jury will ask 'why a door?', 'what kind of door?', 'why that door?' or 'why dont u use this size?'. it never ends.

and this puts people off.

and this is also a way to ensure we've always produce the very best architects.

I don't think you can apply scholarship AND have ptptn loan at the same time. Only one at a time.

you can always apply for ptptn loan first and then when you got accepted for scholarship you can always terminate ur loan and pay what youve already accepted before.

as for JPA scholarship minimum req is 3.3 for your stpm or matrix results i think, but there a catch, once youve graduated you have to serve as governmetn servant for at least 10 years and any other government link companies.

The date should be 1 SEPTEMBER 2012, not in November. You need to check.
