first, go to adb on your pc and type adb devices and press enter. our device should be stated there, so adb is working. proceed to typing this one below. CODE adb reboot bootloader now you would be in fastboot mode. now open up fastboot from your pc and type in fastboot devices to verify that the connection is working. Then, type this CODE fastboot oem boot
at the command prompt you would find the CID code.

hahaha, it is okay bro, baby steps, im sure you'll get a hang of it in no time. just read the guide thoroughly before doing them. You should be fine if you follow them. In the rooting section (which is the 2nd link) use the latest gfree method. 0.7 i think. once you are done, you can install a pre-rooted official GB sense, or virtuous sense 2.0 which adds in a few tweaks, or other custom roms, there are many roms suggested in the previous posts. try em! happy flashing

Would recommend trying out the AMT tool as linked in the first page. It's mostly smooth sailing after downgrading.

QUOTE(static @ Sep 3 2011, 10:22 AM) DHD lasted about 6 hours for me as well, but I am a heavy user (email, twittter, whatsapp, etc). It's either this or E7. Decisions, decisions! well i would prefer Android system... but that is your choice... 6 hours on 3G is still ok la... not that bad... if heavy user like us mostly you need to get a Car Charger or even a back up battery on hand... i might get a Ori Desire Z battery soon for back up usage... but swapping battery is a lil troublesome... if not a power pack is good for ppl whom always on the go...

i am quite curious on these 3rd parties extended batteries. Have you guys tried other brands like SunGlobal and Andida? how do they perform as compared to Mugen's? an update to the upcoming HTC Sense 3.5, watch the UI in action HTC Sense 3.5 video. Now i am doubting about it being less hardware intensive This post has been edited by azrash: Sep 3 2011, 04:49 PM

I have the Galaxy tab as a gift, and lovin' it. Just that, I don't want to waste money buying all these phones since mine is still working fine. But looking forward to getting the Z in Nov/Dec

Where did you get it? i bought it long time ago when im using touch pro 2. this battery fits Desire Z with lil modification. i forgot whats d price already. but i ordered it online and waited weeks for it to arrive. compare to Momax (i previously had for Xperia X1), this is way better. probably is because windows mobile or the battery is just 1500mah. X1 last me 6 hours top.

Nice. Work to port Sense 3.5 to the HTC Vision has started: [ROM][9/4/11]|Vision-Bliss-Sense 3.5 Test Rom|Not particularly excited about it though. Looks less appealing compared to Sense 3.0. Oh and the Virtuous team set up their own forum: http://forums.virtuousrom.com/index.phpThis post has been edited by DJFoo000: Sep 5 2011, 12:22 PM

The port rom of sense 3.5 looks pretty promising. and guys, do I need to get class 4 higher memory card for our phone? I want to buy a higher capacity one. 8gb is too little for gaming now that I know we can run tegra games on our phone too *slowpoke*

the loudspeaker is definitely not one of the stronger points of the phone.
web browsing is great for me. one of the better keyboard android phones IMO. my z hinge is nice and tight, if you received a loose one, you can tighten it up(refer first post for guide). The features of HTC Sense has given this phone a very good package, and with the currect market price of 1k, this phone is a good deal.
For reviews, you can read them at the first post, read the Desire Z's ones not G2. and you can look for more reviews online, or youtube. DZ also has a wide choice of custom ROMs available.

GPS is top notch. My GPS always locks within 10 seconds while my friends' DHD and IS took forever to lock.
Anyways, I can confirm ChainFire3D works on the Desire Z, even without overclocking. Been waiting to play Sprinkle since the preview on Phandroid and now it's here! Damn smooth summore!

Yeh I've tried Sprinkle too! Its working well with ChainFire3D (But I set my CPU 1017MHz (: Also if you experience black or grey background when playing Galaxy on Fire 2, Chainfire3D fixed that issue as well.

I have a bug on Sprinkle though. If the game is running, and the screen goes to sleep and I wake it, the display either has wonky graphics, or a blank screen. I need to exit the app (pressing back brings up the quit app prompt nicely) and relaunch it to continue playing. Have that problem?
OC to 1.5GHz also same.
