Planning to get this phone soon, wondering about the battery life? Used DHD, batt life is really crappy for that one.

DHD lasted about 6 hours for me as well, but I am a heavy user (email, twittter, whatsapp, etc). It's either this or E7. Decisions, decisions!

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Sep 3 2011, 01:56 PM) well i would prefer Android system... but that is your choice... 6 hours on 3G is still ok la... not that bad... if heavy user like us mostly you need to get a Car Charger or even a back up battery on hand... i might get a Ori Desire Z battery soon for back up usage... I have the Galaxy tab as a gift, and lovin' it. Just that, I don't want to waste money buying all these phones since mine is still working fine. But looking forward to getting the Z in Nov/Dec but swapping battery is a lil troublesome... if not a power pack is good for ppl whom always on the go... |

I am getting this next week! Finally after contemplating between Milestone 2 and Desire Z. But we're planning to get the Milestone 2 somewhere next month, CANNOT USE SAME PHONE! Cos we are already using the same mobile at the moment
Got a few n00b questions to ask though, since I've been using Nokia E71 for 3 years, phone still works, but random restarts every few hours annoy me and GPS doesn't want to work properly 1) How to unlock to screen? Press the power button to get the screen then unlock (like iOS)? 2) How to lock it then, same step? Press power button? |

I am not in KL, so I paid $400 AUD for this baby through an online site (mobicity.com.au)... Don't want to get into contract cos I don't make calls, only data (god bless WhatsApp!). The package comes with free car charger, only 2GB memory (upgraded mine to 8GB), and the usual accessories.
Thanks for the heads up! I just sold off my touch since I won't be utilising it anymore once I get the DZ. Some fella offered $200AUD for my year old 3G 32GB. I bought mine second hand for RM550 Bf wants Desire Z but i laid my eyes on it first when it came out (took me this long to finally get it... haha). So he has to find another phone that offers the same which is M2 |

Got my DZ in the mail yesterday, home screen lags as in when to load the icons, wtf. But overall, loving it, still getting used to the keyboard. Ahh, and lots of adapters and a baggy thrown in as well LOL

Not sure if because of Vodafone... seems like an issue with most of them (after googling).
Added on September 17, 2011, 3:22 pmBy the way, only some photos... Hmmm. This post has been edited by static: Sep 17 2011, 03:22 PM |

What casings are you guys using now? I've been using Otterbox for all my gadgets for years, but for some off reason, otterbox's website have this weird bug in their billing address field, which will cause mismatch with my credit card details! UGH. Really need it for DZ and the Tab

QUOTE(louis6 @ Oct 24 2011, 04:13 PM) Having problems with my DZ... I cant locate the photos that I shot until I restart it again. And after a while, those photos will disappear... and the cycle repeats... any1 facing the same problems ?? Factory reset and it will work fine again. Had this problem and appears that resetting works! |

My DZ died yesterday. At first the data connection seemed to have stopped/froze, so I restarted it. It got stuck at Vodafone's splash screen (mine is HK Voda set). Can't power off so had to take out the battery to reboot again, but then it won't go past the white screen with just the 'HTC' word, no 'Quietly Brilliant'. Rough conclusion is fried eMMC chip...
Just sent it in for warranty today! 9 months old only. This post has been edited by static: May 18 2012, 04:25 PM |

I didn't root my DZ, so all is good hopefully. Can't factory reset or anything at all, good as dead. Read that it was due to the battery pull I did after the screen got stuck at Voda's splash screen, pretty worried it might happen again
