I don't think he is an agent for Citibank. Just that there is this member-get-member program going on at Citibank and he want to be the introducer so he can earn some money and he is willing to split the commission.

For principal card, it stated in M2U website that 2 CC for one GST:

QUOTE
The benefits of two cards, Maybankard 2 American Express® Card and Maybankard 2 MasterCard or Visa Card, in one sign up, one service tax, and one statement.

Got my OCBC Ti's 3% Internet banking Rebate (Oct-Dec) too, however the amount does not tally with my calculation.
Based on 3% from all my OCBC online trxns, I should get RM39.27, but OCBC gave me RM50.39.
If based on 5%, still not tally as well, because 5% cashback should be RM65.44.

Hi.

I've just received my CIMB Islamic Gold Mastercard CC yesterday at 3pm and called the CS to activate the card. The PIC told me the card can be used starting from 5pm onwards yesterday. So yesterday at 6pm I swiped my card at Putra Height's Shell pump but it couldn't be authorized.

Today at 11am I swiped my CC at Bandar Bukit Puchong's Petronas and finally I can get some gas. I just filled my car with RM15 of petrol since I prefer Shell. So after that I went to BBP's Shell and still my card couldn't be authorized at the pump. I went to the cashier and this time my card was authorized for petrol purchase. Later today at 7.30pm I tried to swipe my card at Putrajaya's Shell pump and still my card couldn't be authorized.

Is there something wrong with my CC or do Shell stations accept CIMB Mastercard at their cashiers only and not at their pumps?

Sounded to me that your card may be faulty. Try rubbing the chip.

Use Interbank Fund Transfer and select Payment Type as Credit Card. Key in your 16-digit CC number as the account number.

If your card still persists with the above symptom, you may want to request for replacement.

Everybody is pretty aware and also at the same time worried about the less acceptance of AMEX. If the merchant accepts AMEX, they'll display a logo at their entrance or at their cashier desk.

Hypermarkets have no problem of accepting AMEX. Major petrol stations as well except Petronas.

In Malaysia, other than Klang Valley, acceptance of Amex acceptance is very poor. Only hypermarkets, petrol stations and big hotels as well as very few restaurants accept Amex.

The 3% Rebate for OCBC Titanium for Internet Banking's actual value is 5%, based on my calculation on all OCBC Internet Banking transactions. Basically that's the 3%+2% special offer period. I get 5% even I didn't get the special email invite.

Based on the latest rebate I received, it was actually 6% rebate and not 5% (3% + 2%) rebate as promised! biggrin.gif

What a bargain!
Mind to tell why in first place did you want to cancel Visa Classic?

Apology for the late reply. I hardly this card so thought of cancel it. Now I only carry 3 cards.
i) CT Master Plat (auto debit, retail purchases)
ii) UOB OneCard Visa Plat (BHP petrol, GSC, Sushi King)
iii) UOB Preferred Master Plat (in cold storage, hardly use)
