choose 10x mr points then 3.5% or just 1 point but no %?  brows.gif

btw like i told previously, some places (in spore and medan) only accept visa. no mastercard, no amex. so really headache to pay if no cash and no visa  sweat.gif

Oh really. MC i have Ocbc Ti & DA. Visa I have SCB Business. Sometimes feel like wanna cancel DA but it has its own benefit which stop me to do so.

I like the design of SCB Plat MC, but Business Visa offers extra 0.5% rebate. What a dilemma.

may i know what is the hype abt OCBC Titanium card?
*

rebates everyday and no need to sms.

5% for all petrol, dining, shopping and bills. max rm100 till 31/12/2010.
1% for others. max rm20 till 31/12/2010.

others:
free annual fee if swipe 12x/year.
free gst if swipe rm10k/year.
0% for outstanding balance till 31/12/2010.
3% extra rebate for bills if pay via online banking (limited time).
free access to klia lounge.
etc - http://www.ocbccards.com.my/titaniumIndex.aspx

but starting next month, max rebates only rm50 for both 5% and 1%.

useful for 1st rm1k on 5% rebates category.

Never heard of such promo frm PBB cards. Because my friends always grumbled over poor benefits of PBB cards. They rushed to OCBC Ti when I shared the news with them.

nops. here in malaysia usually when visa is accepted, mastercard is accepted too.

the diff is their promo.
example is tm auto bill.
direct debit with mc got discount rm4.
direct debit with visa discount rm2.

so, rm48/year or rm24/year only? tongue.gif

PB's offers are too random for my liking. Having used the card and not getting any rebates for it, you can get quite pissed (as the standard rebate is crap).

Here is my strategy next year (and actually this year as well tongue.gif)

Spend RM1k on 5% items only per month -> RM12k per year  (free annual fee + free gst)

How to do it?

- 3-4 days before the end of the billing cycle, whatever gap to the RM1k limit, pay extra into utilities/phone bills using internet banking or over the counter

Utilities need to be paid every month anyway, might as well put extra in there and earn the 5%.

rclxms.gif This is EXACTLY what I plan to do, or buy those vouchers from Tesco (1 year validity), Giant (6 months validity) or better still Jusco (no expiry date) to max it. But first I need to find out which Jusco gets 5% from DEPARTMENTAL area. I will try out Jusco 1 U and let you guys know. By the end of Dec 2010, I don't think I will need to pay my TNB for the next 1.5 years since I max the rebates 10% with my OCBC Titanium, tongue.gif

You can't buy Jusco vouchers from the supermarket but from the members area. IIRC that is considered under department store.

I was surprised to learn that some shops in Shanghai only accept Visa when I was in Shanghai a few months ago. I intended to buy some entrance tickets using my MC, but the counter officers said that they would only accept cash or Visa. The similar incident also happened in a restaurant in Shanghai.

However in Malaysia, I reckon MC offers more perks than Visa. CIMB MC vs CIMB VI is a good example.

Yeah, that's why I wanna check if any Jusco DEPARTMENT store springs out any "surprises". If I manage to find out, I will surely share it here. biggrin.gif

The only good looking card of PB is Executive MasterCard, transparent looking and change colour in different angle.
