Are the Choicepoints evergreen ?
*
Was there an answer? I think it is not as only the privileged banking card seems to have evergreen choice points. Anyone can confirm whether this is true or not?

Edit: Ok it is 3 years (it's on the 1st post)

you do not need a PIN to use the card. Only for cash advance. Normal purchases and retail is signature based.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the answers!!

Actually it's alright to pay rm50
Just that since I'm so near to the 10k point,
I might as well move other spending to the ocbc now after knowing that I cannot get the rebate partially...  notworthy.gif
*
Here is my strategy next year (and actually this year as well tongue.gif)

Spend RM1k on 5% items only per month -> RM12k per year (free annual fee + free gst)

How to do it?

- 3-4 days before the end of the billing cycle, whatever gap to the RM1k limit, pay extra into utilities/phone bills using internet banking or over the counter

Utilities need to be paid every month anyway, might as well put extra in there and earn the 5%.

PB's offers are too random for my liking. Having used the card and not getting any rebates for it, you can get quite pissed (as the standard rebate is crap).

rclxms.gif This is EXACTLY what I plan to do, or buy those vouchers from Tesco (1 year validity), Giant (6 months validity) or better still Jusco (no expiry date) to max it. But first I need to find out which Jusco gets 5% from DEPARTMENTAL area. I will try out Jusco 1 U and let you guys know. By the end of Dec 2010, I don't think I will need to pay my TNB for the next 1.5 years since I max the rebates 10% with my OCBC Titanium,  tongue.gif
*
You can't buy Jusco vouchers from the supermarket but from the members area. IIRC that is considered under department store.

I know this has been discussed amongst all the Tit owners before.

Nevertheless, still think I am obliged to keep you all updated from the response which I received from the CS just a moment ago pertaining to the cash rebate promotion.

I have been informed that due to the transition period, cash rebate until Dec 2010 is capped at RM120 (RM100+20), while, for 1-11.1.2020 (RM50) and RM50 to continue.

On a diff note, i din expect that documents are required even for the Tit supp card.  Sigh.
*
Your feedback is same as ronnie's.

My feedback from late Nov was RM120 from Dec X 2010 - Jan X 2011.

Since my statement is mid Jan, appreciate if anyone with an early statement date (12 Jan or earlier) to post in the forums once they can see their rebate for this very special (and confusing) month. (hope you have internet banking).

Regarding the extra discount for HSBC credit card holders when making a reservation via Agoda. The discount will be automatically shown in the checkout page after you entered your credit card details. See below.

now i not sure want to apply for AMEX or PBB Esso. which one will you choose between this two?
*
Amex is guaranteed 2.5% for petrol and groceries + other items like books, telco, cinema

PBB Esso is tiered based.

so if your majority spending is petrol and is in high tiers for PBB Esso, you can go for that

Choose your card based on your spending pattern and benefit needs.

my petrol is around rm 300 per month and i use other things also. the good side for PBB Esso is that it rebates following the tier but only got 0.5% rebate for other spending while AMEX got 2.5% for all spending include food and stuff?? i thought 5X points for certain things and 2X points for others right?
*
yes 2x for other stuff = 1%

food not including in 5x points. please see Amex thread for details.

Amex con is low acceptance in Malaysia
