u can apply for HSBC classic card, minimum requirement only RM18k per annum

I normally insert CC then only smile card, follow the instruction and u will never go wrong

You can always do early payment?
Pay few days in advance enable you to convert to 10 months interest free installment.

Petronas need to put in the CC first, select language, followed by the Mesra card.
Exactly what's shown on the screen at the pump.

My place don't have Great eastern office. Agents cannot process payment but act as middleman only.
I use autopay only.

No. The transaction can still go through. I tried this a few times before with CIMB Gold MasterCard and Maybankard Gold AMEX 2 years ago.


CIMB Bank and Maybank will not charge you over-limit fee if you do it as such. I mean deposit some money into your credit card account first before swiping it to make sure you have enough limit.

By the way, last time CIMB Bank rejected my transaction when i did not have sufficient credit line. Tried it twice and just about 2 minutes later, a CIMB Bank officer called my mom telling her she had only RMxxxx of credit line left in the card. So i guess certain banks will just not let the payment to go through if you have insufficient credit line which is better in my opinion. I do not want to be shocked with RMxx for over-limit fee

You do meet HSBC's requirement for a Classic Card but the chance may be slim as you had no other credit card. HSBC is known to be very reluctant to approve the first card to people that are still new to credit card. May be you can try CIMB Bank ? They do have many offers going on

Amex Gold CC is the best Maybank cc i think.

By the way, two years ago i was using the Maybankard Gold AMEX. The one with the ugly Maybankard logo on the front and blue color AMEX logo on the bottom right.

I think you better report to mod according to someone pointed your nickname at lowyat. So that mod can carry up this case.

kind of dangerous for mesra card to be so simple to use just by swiping the card at the machine. will not collect so many points just in case i drop it and didn't realise it

abt the insurance coverage for plane tickets, does it cover only me and my family members such as what? parents/siblings/kids? or just anyone i buy tickets for?
