I thought at Petronas, it should be CC first and then Mesra card.
I always do that.

Petronas need to put in the CC first, select language, followed by the Mesra card.
Exactly what's shown on the screen at the pump. |

QUOTE(persistence85 @ Dec 22 2010, 09:15 AM) what is the max amount we can claim if our luggage is lost? Say, my trip Kuching to KL. The problem is now we do not even know if that incident took place in Malaysia, are we still covered ?QUOTE(persistence85 @ Dec 22 2010, 10:21 AM) i thought if ur CL is Rm3k, then u want swipe Rm3.1k, even RM100 more your transaction will be rejected?? or in what case, the transaction will over limit? call CS to for the over limit transaction? No. The transaction can still go through. I tried this a few times before with CIMB Gold MasterCard and Maybankard Gold AMEX 2 years ago.QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 22 2010, 12:02 PM) I think he meant "Even though the bank let you through, there is an over-limit fee awaiting you". CIMB Bank and Maybank will not charge you over-limit fee if you do it as such. I mean deposit some money into your credit card account first before swiping it to make sure you have enough limit.A permanent CL increase is the best solution. By the way, last time CIMB Bank rejected my transaction when i did not have sufficient credit line. Tried it twice and just about 2 minutes later, a CIMB Bank officer called my mom telling her she had only RMxxxx of credit line left in the card. So i guess certain banks will just not let the payment to go through if you have insufficient credit line which is better in my opinion. I do not want to be shocked with RMxx for over-limit fee QUOTE(alexwsk @ Dec 22 2010, 12:02 PM) no, the transaction will not go thru Yes. The transaction will still go through. Tried it with Maybankard Gold AMEX and CIMB Bank Gold MasterCard.QUOTE(alexwsk @ Dec 22 2010, 12:02 PM) but the bank will charge you let say RM50 for trying to swipe beyond ur CL No. At least i know Maybank and CIMB Bank won't. QUOTE(alexwsk @ Dec 22 2010, 12:02 PM) if the bank let the transaction go thru, you might also need to pay the above fee No. Not with Maybank and CIMB Bank. QUOTE(Chuckiekey @ Dec 22 2010, 12:11 PM) my basic pay is around 1.6k and commission maybe few hundred, I jz want to know which bank I shud go for. I wanted to go for HSBC, dunno whether it is posible. You do meet HSBC's requirement for a Classic Card but the chance may be slim as you had no other credit card. HSBC is known to be very reluctant to approve the first card to people that are still new to credit card. May be you can try CIMB Bank ? They do have many offers going on |

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 22 2010, 01:59 PM) Amex Gold CC is the best Maybank cc i think. By the way, two years ago i was using the Maybankard Gold AMEX. The one with the ugly Maybankard logo on the front and blue color AMEX logo on the bottom right. |

QUOTE(persistence85 @ Dec 22 2010, 11:15 AM) Thanks for pointing out. I think you better report to mod according to someone pointed your nickname at lowyat. So that mod can carry up this case.I just noticed that, maybe some people hate me for "spamming", thus, creating a insane thread. Just ignored trolls, and that name looks like a "guy" name, no idea why they link me to that guy's name for some unknown reason? Anyone can create a dispute thread, anyone can say whatever they like - included you&me, but if thats the real name/action of mine, i will definitely defend back. If that's not my name, who cares? Let the kids troll, remember, its a "school-holiday-season" for them now. Let them enjoy. Till here, i rest my case. |

Why would i care so much why this case has nothing to do with me, agree? Faithfully, i wouldn't care so much about these things done by trolls because; 1. The name is not mine 2. The friendster / facebook profile is not mine 3. Everything is not mine How do i report to a mod while everything has nothing to do with me? kind of dangerous for mesra card to be so simple to use just by swiping the card at the machine. will not collect so many points just in case i drop it and didn't realise it
abt the insurance coverage for plane tickets, does it cover only me and my family members such as what? parents/siblings/kids? or just anyone i buy tickets for? |
