it's not dangerous, because you have to accumulate many many points then can only redeem for Rm10 voucher, i have one before, but i dump it already.. lol..

its not voucher anymore, just need to swipe at the machine for instant petrol redemption, of cos i won't be able to collect much points anyway
just a reminder just redeem a.s.a.p loh...don't collect few thousand then lost the card and other people use it

i just redeem RM10 petrol last week utilising 1000 point

bcoz mesra points calculate based on litre! not rm like esso/mobil smiles! u pump rm50 for ron95, its 26.13 litres, thats y u get 26 points only!

correction! 1000 mesra points = rm1 petronas petrol

and to get 1000 mesra points, u need to swipe rm1900 ron95 ~!!!

while for esso/mobil, 1000 points can get rm15 and u only need to swipe rm1000.
and rm15 u redeem (1000 points) will be credited back 15 points on ur smiles.
so its actually 985 smiles points only for rm15 fuel at esso/mobil!
even better, some esso/mobile at kajang area offer 2x points

cannot. ur swipe will be declined.
u must have rm4k availability credit. so go fastcash rm4k 1st before go swipe.
some bank like hsbc allow overlimit and will charge u rm25. but not sure if they allow rm1k overlimit

if rm100 usually bank will allow, but will charge u with overlimit fee (rm25 to rm50, depends on bank).

hopefully it will always extend and never expired!

yes hsbc classic is applicable, min salary is 18k/year

bcoz Chuckiekey annual salary is less than rm30k so hlb essential not qualified

classic card salary should be 18k/year only (even hlb classic also need only rm18k/year)!

while for (7), i choose DA WMC. its free for life (no need assuming AF waiveable). rebate at petrol and got weekend promo.
others, rm1 = 1 point.
also, smart flexi-pay plan which is 0% 10 months installment without any fee for education, insurance or hospital bills.

maybank WMC should not consider for "normal spending" coz it give more rewarding to fly with MAS.
while DA WMC can use on "normal spending" - petrol, groceries, insurance, etc.

why hlb essential is good among all the classic?

My annual salary is only about half the requirement of SCB Plat. It got approved anyway.

Happen the same thing on my ocbc Ti as well.

hlb essential cannot considered as classic?!

hlb got their own classic card wih rm18k/year salary requirement.
essential need rm30k/year.



btw, hlb essential give free annual fee if swipe 2x/month + 1% cashback on all transaction.
new applicant can get rm50 cashback (limited to a number of people) to cover the gst with 2x swipe within 45 days.

er, other bank also waive annual fee provided u swipe 2x within 2 months..

DA, mbb petronas, amex gold credit, cimb petronas, pbb esso/mobil - all free for life with no condition

but u ask about hlb essential?
