Updates. Some result from TM leased line. Seems only only end user side having problem thou, corporate line free from capping. Test taken with 1.5mb leased. Only connection to India seems slow, rest are fine.

Basically, so many problems... they should had just re-structure the whole system and adapt the new ISP practice of giving limited package.

1mbps limit to 10gb per month, if wan more you have to purchase more.

Reduce the price and earn more from those torrent-hoggers and media sharing fellas..

bro...caps are not practical at all.

its not about who hogs the line or not. if there is going to be 10,000 1mbps users, 10,000 2mbps users and 10,000 4mbps users, then just make sure the line can support full speed 70gbps for 30,000 users. that is what fair is about; everyone getting what they pay for.

the more vehicle there is, we then build wider and faster roads. it is simply unlogical that the more vehicle there is, just use the same road but selit more lane right and left.

current users already congested, still keep promoting more people to signup. where to selit their line? end up all dying like last week in vietnam bridge incident.

its the same concept.. if u have traffic jams either u built better roads or u reduce the cars by increasing the tax of cars, petrol etc etc..

Roads = ISP infrastructure = its very expensive and time consuming.

Reduce the cars = set quota cap reduce traffic hence your small road looks smoother = easy to be done, less cost involve and can be done real immediate.

have you ever seen a country where they reduce the numbers of vehicles on the road? people will only keep buying and going faster because its evolution, technology and income. other countries have actually stop capping speed; they still throttle p2p and such but the lines keep getting faster and better.

omg.. that is so many countries doing this..

Go around KL look at the left side, you will sign boards, some road are offlimit to heavy vehicle. because this big vehicle is slow and hog the roads thus causing traffic jam.

They increase parking and petrols to reduce ppl buying cars..

Take for example singapore, certain roads are offlimit to those who doesnt have permit to enter.

Car tax increase.. all this are methods to reduce ppl buying more cars.

Common sense, build road how much u need? millions.. but impose all this.. how much u need?

Because technology, everyone also can afford internet and they need it.. just like car, graduates now 1st job already can afford buy cars.. we need control this.. no?

Here's my opinion. I think speedtest.net isn't accurate in terms of international testing. Because the countrues e that we test is a different ISP in that country not the data center. I mean for example google, mediafire, faebook, etc aren't really specifically hosted in the US they have many data center in different location. What i'm trying to say is doesn't mean you ping a site from Speedtest for example US meaning every site hosted in the US is gonna be slow. I think Speedtest center is just and average speedtest for location nearby to test your current speed. Just a thought though not really confirmed a theory. on a side note recently 218 ip has been assigned on 4mbps account.

ya i mention earlier.. it might be due to the exchange point got problem.

For example,

House --> TM Gateway ---> china ---> Europe

if china station got problem it will slow down..

Thats why we cannot judge whether its TM cap or its exchange problem.

if to control the number of people who can afford the internet, then just be honest and professional at the first place. tell people that the line is shared, etc. instead of promising cheap rates, stable line and all that crap. and ive just came back from tampines this morning; went to sitex 2010 to have a look around. i have no permit but i can drive anywhere. why? because I PAY for the entry levy at the checkpoint. the rules are the same; if you PAY, you get what you paid for. oh, and its the school holidays there. foreign vehicles are FREE to go anywhere they want until next year. no limits.

Affordability is one

but use as you pay is another whole issue after all.. dont get me wrong.

i was suggest you use wat u paid for.. if u wanna hog the line pay more. Thats why Tmnet is so stupid to give unlimited package. Its like open the floodgate to get flooded.
