Will froyo be available for our beloved legends? If no, is there any unofficial froyo rom with sense for the legend?

Well, there is a froyo sense Rom but its not stable. It's based on the Gratia and quite a few things aren't working. I suggest you wait for the update.

Congrats on V2! We took quite some time to get here eh? CyanogenMod RC1 is out. Rooted user, go for it!

Yup, market enabler can do the trick. You don't need root for it.

Or having other country SIM. Myself, having Lebara PrePaid Sim Card from previous short visit to Melbourne. Cannot Location Update here, but Market get trough.

I have a question.... I am planning to root my legend.... If i root it and HTC releases Froyo for Android, can i just update OTA or i have to unroot it to update?

if you root it and use the rooted stock sense rom, you can just run the OTA and your root will be gone.
if you root it and install custom rom, you have to reflash back to sense rom and run the OTA.

You can use RUU to reflash back to stock sense rom

You may need a goldcard before you can use this utility. Not sure about it, cos I kinda forgot whether i did use a goldcard or not.

Anyone here facing prob with the phone jack? the jack connection is not stable whenever i connect the earpiece to the phone, it needs to be in certain height  n direction for it to play smoothly.

Does the home button cover in warranty? The button is loose since the day i've used the phone and it's quite irritating sometime as the button will sink in certain level. Btw, the phone is only one month old from digi.  =(

did u try using another earpiece? could it be the earpiece's jack problem? as for the home button, it is covered under warranty. but good luck convincing them that the button is defective. if it's really obvious that the button has already sank, then they will probably change the entire phone casing+buttons for you (or at least that's what they told me).

Yup, because with Market Enabler you can emulates foreign simcards which gives you access to paid apps.
Just did, so far so good. Need to do a little tweaking first.

Already flashed it, blazing fast now... they even lowered the DPI thus making the font look neater but smaller.

already flashed and quite happy with the rooted vodafone rom..stable,snappy and comes with features that custom roms brings:
-Live wallpaper, yeah~
-Market (i dont know is it just me or what, paid apps can be accessed without market enabler)
-Wifi tethering
-Flash 10.1 yeah
-FM radio (yes, Cyanogen mod latest 6.1 doesn't have this)

If you're rooted with Clockworkmod, everything is easy.

Just do backup before you attempt to flash. A wipe before attempting to flash is highly recommended.

i'm gonna buy a 2nd hand legend. how do i check if it's rooted or not? i prefer to get a not rooted yet and maybe will root after warranty is over. i know some people say that we can unroot it it before go to claim warranty but reading all the jargon u guys talk above, I'm afraid it's gonna take time for me to do it i'm not so techie, just so-so.

and any heads up on hardware faulty that i can check? thanks.

You can't tell if he has unrooted the phone, but if it's rooted, you can see a Super User icon when you open the menu. IT will look something like this but the icon might be different.

fyi, other low res keyboards you find in XDA forum will most likely force close (not compatible with froyo...or something).

Thats because you choose v1.6+. If you use v1.5 which is without voice, that would work just fine.
