I have a question.... I am planning to root my legend.... If i root it and HTC releases Froyo for Android, can i just update OTA or i have to unroot it to update?
*
if you root it and use the rooted stock sense rom, you can just run the OTA and your root will be gone.
if you root it and install custom rom, you have to reflash back to sense rom and run the OTA.

You can use RUU to reflash back to stock sense rom
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Legend/RUU...1965_signed.exe
You may need a goldcard before you can use this utility. Not sure about it, cos I kinda forgot whether i did use a goldcard or not.

Digi and retail should be same. No difference. No sim lock or what not.

I'm now using the rc1. Same problem as the nightly, I can't seem to play Facebook video. It works fine on azure. Really weird.

Unbranded not yet out. Some more, even if its out, SEA won't get it so fast.

Yeah... same but rooted...

Already flashed it, blazing fast now... they even lowered the DPI thus making the font look neater but smaller.

Very very tempted to flash it. How's it? Better than CM6?

I don't think the OTA will be released this soon to SEA. My guess is christmas present. But could be earlier, I hope.

i think its only flashlite. armv6 processor in legend isnt supported. flashlite is at least better than no flash in CM biggrin.gif

Don't use the RUU. If I'm not mistaken, I've read somewhere it says that if you upgrade via the OTA, you can't downgrade anymore. No downgrade = no root, no root = no turning back to SEA roms.

Best way is still to root your phone and flash via the clockworkmod recovery.

I am using this rom:

Is a special method required to flash this ROM, or do I just go into recovery mode and flash it?
*
If you're rooted with Clockworkmod, everything is easy.

Just do backup before you attempt to flash. A wipe before attempting to flash is highly recommended.

i like the Sense dialer n how it got all the contacts linked.
Also, the flashlite, apart from that, i'm fine.

Flash lite is the one thing why i prefer sense. Unless somebody is able to port flash lite to cyanogenmod, is be glad to leave sense. Hehe..

I don't know where my friend found the skype apk, but the one he gave me, i can do skype call via wifi or 3g. but it is quite buggy, regardless of how long is the call made, the call log always record 30mins. And somehow it doesn't work on his SGS Eclair, but works right after he upgraded to Froyo. I was on CM6.1 nightlies when testing.

I don't think so. If it's out, it should be announced in HTC Malaysia Facebook page, and also HTC SEA support page.

Do you guys have any idea how to install android default keyboard? I prefer the keyboard in cm6.1 rather than this inaccurate HTC keyboard.

Are you using stock SenseUI? I'm not really sure how, but I prefer htc keyboard over default android. now i'm still using the htc-ime mod

Android default predictive text somehow works better for me. It's probably something in the settings. Let me fiddle around.
