Titanium needs root. If you're not rooted you can export your contacts to SD card and use "backup everything" to save your apps and messages.

Guys, I wanna ask something, my Legend's Android version is the 2.2 one, if I perform a hard reset, will it still be 2.2? or the version when I first bought the phone?

weird, sometimes (not sure when and how) the notification scrolled down when i touch the screen (all place).. when the phone is locked, i cant scroll to unlock it. need to off/on again while unlock, or else plug out/in the battery..

Guys.. my legend battery become worst after upgrade to 2.2... even i put in offline mode, wa 60% before sleep, after wake up, it left 12%!/ what happen? I already use task killer to kill all before sleep. What's draining my battery? Or my battery spoiled d? Battery still under warranty right?

Try completely draining the battery, then fully recharge it. See if that helps

Upgraded OS to 2.2 FOTA, now it doesn't support Chinese anymore, but instead I get Thai input! How to fix this? need to remove Thai and install Chinese input... help...

why you buy a phone before researching what it can do...

I bought 2nd hand legend 2 months back and untill now still hasnt gotten bored of it and that is without rooting, I'm sure if i root will be more exciting and boredom will not visit me any sooner lol.

anyway, i have these apps installed helping me do some daily stuff, maybe u can consider them to kill ur boredom:

angry bird season - keep me awake at night until i finish play all the levels, this i dont use anymore, but keep me entertained when i first buy this phone

aldiko - i read story books at night, i get free books at freebook and u can get a lot from the net the books that u like

agenda widget - integrate all my calendars, so i can put the widget on the homescreen and see what's my next schedule

Bambuser - cause i study edtech, so we sometime do live recording of what's happening in class so that we can share with our friends who were not in the class

bloggerdroid - i have photoblog which i take photos of what i eat, so this is a fast way to do it

cardio trainer - keep me wanting to exercise daily coz i can know the calorie i burnt, and also have like resolution thing in which i set target how much do i want to exercise, so it will remind me to do it

facebook/twitter/social stuff - this one normal la, i dont use this much though coz i prefer in laptop for this

FMRadio - my car dont have radio so i hear this one while driving
gmail - normal la check email

Hijri - I'm muslim, so I used not to care of what islam date is today, but with this now I know

Iquran - believe me, now I read quran more because this is really handy. coz the big book sometimes i'm lazy to open

Maps - google map that help me when Im lost coz i have no sense of direction

Minesweeper - classic game that i never get bored of (the expert level) but with legend it force close a lot.

Money Droid - I key in everything i spend in here so at the end of the month i know where my money goes to and see if I have not spend wisely

news- normal la read paper

PAPAGO - GPS that helps me coz like i said i have no sense of direction but i dont use much coz i have no data plan, so it may be expensive. But i use it once in a while

QuickOffice - to view some of my PPT and word doc before presentation, so i can prepare while waiting my turn

skype - call my friend in mexico and chit chat

talking tom - play with my nephew and teach him to repeat new words using this, he likes it a lot, and enjoyable. It's one of edtech stuff that i like

VISIONary++ - i use this from Lucassss recomendation but i just temproot coz i want to screencapture some of the phone screen as i need some for some articles that i write - again related to my study in edtech

webdictionary - to look for word meaning when i read articles, also related to my study

wordpress - also for microblogging, but i dont use this as often as bloggerdroid

youtube - keep me entertained in the library when I'm bored with reading lol

I havent install any comic or manga reader as i dont wanna get distracted as i have lots of serious reading to do...haha but that's some of the apps that I am keen to install.


now i dont need bring my laptop when i dont really need it coz all the simple stuff can be done on my Legend (and I have a big 15.4" laptop that's not pleasant to carry around ). I just use the library com in the university to do heavy stuff.

When i decide to buy a smartphone, (i used to have old SE K508i for 6 years prior to Legend!)I wanna make sure I use all the possible stuff for me to make it worth every cents that I spent on it. Also, most of the things that i need to do are for my study so having this phone really makes me utilise it at its maximum.

You have to find things that u need to do to make ur phone feels worth it. accessibility to internet connection also determined ur interest towards ur phone lol, coz if u r not connected there's nothing much can do with the phone (although there r some good offline apps as well)...as for me, i dont have data plan coz i am paying for my broadband for laptop at home, but on campus i use the campus wifi all the time to do all the stuff i mentioned above.

Just find ur interest. lol. coz if u get other androids too, in the end it;s about the same of what u can do with ur phone...i know the higher 1g processor or ability to use Honeycomb or gingerbread may soon makes legend obsolete but bored-or-not wise depends on what u use it for...

i'm visiting japan soon and planning to use japan telco sim card on my ori SIS HTC Legend to stay connected to the web.

i believe my Legend can use any sim card, am i rite?

nope... I dont think Legend usable in Japan... caz they using different network with us... tht y...japan phone nid hypersim to activate in msia

i plan 2 use b-mobile sim during my visit 2 japan,
according 2 the blog below, b-molie sim works on G1, Hero, Desire and other android eclair devices.
so i think it should work on Legend as well.

Having issue syncing with my pc & laptop..... It says usb device not recognizable. aiyo how ah!!?
and its damm weird.. some apps i have in when i wanna update it does not show up in my market apps. ie Angry birds.. weird

try change the USB, or change port. maybe rosak ady...

market issue not sure, try using brainapps...see it can update or not.

Ugh... dunno why my Legend is getting pretty laggy now, even just typing msg or clicking a widget, once in awhile will lag.

My wifi hotspot doesn't work. My PC running Windows XP can detect the network and connect to it successfully, but when I browse, I get 'server not found' errors. No security setup on the wireless network yet. What's wrong? Thanks.
