I did notice the noticeable lag with GPS lately after trying Froyo. I wonder if it had aGPS disabled or something like that. Usually takes less than minute to lock but lately has been long wait...

QUOTE(modskywalker @ Dec 14 2010, 09:02 AM) this apps got help in gps? i have installed this apps on my N1 good apps I dont know much about GPS so I dunno if this will help, but try location and on the GPS. Did it able to load the maps? my legend at first was unable to lock satelite for GPS too so i thought my GPS isnt working. but then i try the location and able to load the map. and later on use cardio trainer, and it can find the satellite pretty fast.Added on December 14, 2010, 9:04 am my colleague still stick with stock os which is version 2.1 eclair, or this phone have to wait for very long to lock the satellite signal? then only after that, i try papago again, and it was able to find satelite, but i guess it maybe the location where im at, that point of time. |

After using the Froyo and CM6.1 ROMs, I'd strongly recommend the latter.
The stock Froyo is faster than Eclair, but CyanogenMod is on a completely different level. The phone feels so much more responsive and, despite overclocking the CPU, I'm actually getting better battery life than before. Talk about having your cake and eating it. |

QUOTE(SpIcYjOe @ Dec 14 2010, 02:42 PM) No, it doesn't have wireless tethering. The stock ROM does but it was flakey when I used it, would lose connection whenever the screen goes off. Not sure if it was just me or if that's the way it works.Added on December 14, 2010, 2:51 pm QUOTE(Lucassss @ Dec 14 2010, 12:27 PM) Easiest way to find out is to tryThis post has been edited by Cannonfodder: Dec 14 2010, 02:51 PM |

Actually there is very little to choose between Stock Froyo and CM. Both are equally fast but I prefer stock due to widget like stocks, friendstream, messaging. It also has smart dial. CM is nice because its light, responsive and lots of nice customization with the notification bar.

I don't use many Sense widgets or the built-in apps, so I didn't really miss it much.
The repeated Sense crashes were what eventually drove me to give up on the one brilliant feature--the smart dialer. I still find CM noticeably and consistently snappier, most visibly in Angry Birds Seasons, which bogged down on both the stock Eclair and Froyo. |

If you use task killer/manager, you will encounter Sense crashes. Ever since I stop using them, no such problem.

I don't use task killers. Sense just crashes and relaunches after every so often.
When it sill did it after I moved to Froyo, finally decided to give up on it. |

Not hard la... Some of the outdated guide teach you to copy and reverse the code... But actually there is already a program that will do that for you. All you need to do is plug in your phone, run the program, and then paste the code into the goldcard creator website and wait for the email. |
