QUOTE(charymsylyn @ Nov 10 2010, 08:40 PM) Didn't see my name retrieved when I paid, have yet to see this behaviour with any bill registration/payment on M2U, only for MBB banking accounts. Payment went through fine, no issues. That's good to know. Anyway, I've paid using maybank2u. When I paid, my name did not appear at the screen. I don't know why the Unifi call centre officer told be that my name should appear below my account number. Made me worry unnecessarily. After experimenting a bit, I think I know how to make your name appear below your account number in maybank2u. You need to make that payee your favourite payee, then maybank2u will ask you to fill in the account holder's name, and it will be displayed beneath the account number every time you make payment to this "favourite" payee. |

This d-link 615 is so crap! It seems my cable connection to my desktop is so smooth and damn fast but the wireless dc every 5 mins and when playing game i get so much lag. yet when i go to speed test i get around 15mbps speed....why is this? This stupid mcb router.
Anyways i was on the phone with tm net and i asked them if its possible to replace the router and they said yes and they will send me an email of possible routers to buy which are compatible with unifi. I hope to get rid of this 615 soon... |

I hope to get rid of this 615 soon... seems good if it's true... would like to know also what kind of router they suggest.. please post it here when u get the email from them bro.. btw if u don't want to change router, just bridge it, seems pretty stable for me..., streaming movie no lag..., and already more than 1 week no DC.., hope like this forever, hahaha i bridge DIR 615 with HW 550-3G + TP-WA701ND as extender, my building concrete is very unfriendly with signal... =b |

At the Dir615 is working fine for Wifi, and Lan for me, seem to be compatible with all kind of phones too, iphone, nokia, htc, bb, etc.
With Wifi, max speed i can get is only approx 15mbps, guess it's the limit of normal 54mbps wifi connection already, could be the limit of the chipset in the laptop though. Can get full 20mbps with LAN. |

QUOTE(ayil @ Nov 10 2010, 11:05 PM) You should be getting 20Mbps, why aim for 10Mbps? I have no issues achieving 20Mbps on a single torrent without any tweaking.QUOTE(kons @ Nov 11 2010, 09:53 AM) At the Dir615 is working fine for Wifi, and Lan for me, seem to be compatible with all kind of phones too, iphone, nokia, htc, bb, etc. It's not a limitation of the IEEE 802.11g standard, as I can both download and upload at 20Mbps simultaneously while wirelessly streaming HD content to my PS3 over Wi-Fi with my Linksys WRT54GL. I think it's a limitation of the DIR-615, as all routers aren't built equally (link). Most likely it is caused by multiple factors, e.g. router, client, noise, etc. With Wifi, max speed i can get is only approx 15mbps, guess it's the limit of normal 54mbps wifi connection already, could be the limit of the chipset in the laptop though. There might be too much interference in your area causing the line quality to degrade. It's quite common for signal quality issues to happen to wifi, though. With Wifi, max speed i can get is only approx 15mbps, guess it's the limit of normal 54mbps wifi connection already, could be the limit of the chipset in the laptop though. QUOTE(kons @ Nov 11 2010, 01:53 PM) Well, I'm using a 6 years old laptop, limiting factor could be caused by the laptop chipset though. If your desktop shares the same issue, then your laptop might not be guilty as charged. Unless your desktop is also 6 years old...? I myself am using a USB Wi-Fi dongle since my desktop's motherboard didn't have built-in Wi-Fi and had no space for another PCI card. I'm using the type of dongle that also has an antenna, just to be on the safe side.Anyway, I have a USB Wifi plugged in to my desktop as well, can't reach the max speed as well. I'm gonna borrow a more robust ap, netgear wg302, to test again today. It's just right next to one another. Maybe it's too near to each other? Someone mentioned earlier that putting the computer too close to the router might adversely affect throughput. I have no idea how true this is, however. |

Personally, I've been able to max out the speed (20Mbps, during the trial period) on my laptop which is a Pentium M 1.5GHz Thinkpad. You know, those before the Lenovo label and without a touchpad. Only that red joystick. So it's really, really old. |
