QUOTE(Susuwatari @ Nov 14 2010, 12:36 PM) My unifi speed test is half again, really disappointed with their service. Paying vip20 but get speed of vip10 and below. Have you lodged a report? I got a similar problem with my upload speed last time and it was fixed.

Is a fixed IP so bad? Oh, you are downloading I see screens of >5Mbps, and >20Mbps, you guys can get so much more speeds than the standard 5/10/20?

QUOTE(vyzc @ Nov 12 2010, 08:36 PM) UniFi, including IPTV and VOIP, down in Bandar Sri Damansara since 2pm. Anyone else experiencing downtime? hmmmm , i had a dropout problem too a while ago! after a power blackout in bsd area, no net connection for 3-4 days! Only managed to get connected after i got some tmnut tech guys to do a reboot of my port! i paid them out of my own pocket! Tmnut did not even bother to call me after my repeated attempts to get something done. Malaysia " boleh" , but tmnut TAK boleh?

Buyer beware. TM said that they are supposed to come in a Unifi van with Unifi uniforms, not on motorcycles. You have the right to turn them away if they don't come in the official van with proper uniform. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!
Other fine print to consider:
First 15m of fiber optic cable is free. Extra charges thereafter, seemingly RM150. If, after they come to your house and discuss the extra charges with you and you are not happy, there is a RM200 cancellation charge.
Added on November 15, 2010, 11:58 amlooks like i'll be sticking with streamyx for now. the unifi contractors are just too unprofessional for my tastes.

Hi, I was informed as well that the fiber is only free for the first 15m. wanna find out from sifu-sifu sekalian, where does the cable start from? from the Fiber Termination Box?

The installation just done on 13/11/2010 for VIP5, so installation RM200 will be charge on the bill. For VIP20 installation fee will be waived, I want to upgrade to VIP20 and waive the installation fee since the installation VIP5 just done on 2days ago. Called to the center and they told me it's not possible to waived the installation fee if upgrade from VIP5 to VIP20, I do understood but since the installation just done 2days ago and wondering is anyone done this before? Honestly they would earn more if I upgrade to VIP20 and if installation fee unable to be waive I'll not really want to upgrade and they would gain less profit. Make another call again, they need to get approval from their manager/management and you need to insist them to check with their management side otherwise they'll keep telling it's not possible. I also requested for an email/proof regarding this if bill still being charge for the installation fee. Now thinking what to do with my upcoming VIP20 This post has been edited by Leon||: Nov 15 2010, 05:21 PM
