What to ask those people who has corrupted download, are you still using DIR-615?
I'm still using the DIR 615 with Fiberhome. No corrupted downloads at the moment.

So I presume those v3.2 batches sell here are supported by dd-wrt....
and at the price of RM139 for a dd-wrt 3T3R router, I think it's really worth the money man! nod.gif
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have a lookie. Any recommendations for dual frequency (2GHz and 5GHz) models?

Can someone confirm any replacement unit for DIR615. Is there ary router out there that can use with the IPTV and the modem together. Preferably with gigabit and wireless.

Everything that is posted here seems to be good replacements but without wireless.

Anyway, here's my ping test;

does it really gonna improve my upload then those dir 615 from tm?? seem like im on vip10 yet my upload is 2-3mbps only...so seriously need to do something bout my upload as its not fun to join the dcc hub and having small upload...
*
Depends la. Uploading 20 concurrent sessions to Hotfile on VIP 20 will touch the 2MB/s ++ upload ceiling. Short of that, I have never experienced a single upload touching 2MB/s.

Downloads are slightly different. 2 or 3 concurrent downloads will touch the 2MB/s ++.

i don't think got matter with your dir-615 as mine run fine. usually is connection problem which you need to call tm though about why your upload slower than usual. with your package, upload should be around 6-7 mbps.
*
If your line is not faulty, you can hit 10Mbps upload on VIP 10. You just need to upload a few more files and you'll see the limit climb.

This d-link 615 is so crap! It seems my cable connection to my desktop is so smooth and damn fast but the wireless dc every 5 mins and when playing game i get so much lag. yet when i go to speed test i get around 15mbps speed....why is this? This stupid mcb router.

Anyways i was on the phone with tm net and i asked them if its possible to replace the router and they said yes and they will send me an email of possible routers to buy which are compatible with unifi. I hope to get rid of this 615 soon...

If you have problems with the wireless disconnecting, check if it is set up correctly.

Btw, can you help me ask if they have a clear communication on whether existing Streamyx/Landline users migrating to Unifi can be migrated automatically + retain old phone number, instead of having to cancel separately? E.g. My dad has been a TM user for more than 30 years and he had to cancel the 30 year old home phone number + streamyx account when migrating. This also had to be done separately. It's sad losing that old number and will my dad be considered just a 1 year old account? It might be too late for me, but I'm sure other new sign ups would appreciate this feature.

I believe this has something to do with the phones running on different systems. My new office ISDN lines could not retain the number that we used to have on the analog line.

Anyway, I think it is not wise to let go of the fixed line anyway. The VOIP is unstable at the moment. Now you see it, now you don't ! Also, the phone goes down without power unless you run on UPS.

i'm a freaking proud vip20 user! biggrin.gif but why at speed test my speed suddenly 23.
next test 19. another test 16. then back to 23. why speed not constant one? anyone same wit me?
*
Best test is to do simultanous download. Check the sustained speed. That would be your best gauge instead of relying TM's speed test.
