Hi, I have 4 DECT phone at home, 3 Panasonic of various model from the basic to the advance colored, and 1 free no brand DECT from TM when I signed up for 4mb combo. So far all the 3 Panasonic DECT work flawlessly but the TM one has exactly the same problem you mentioned. No ring, though I can still answer it. Btw, I am on VIP20.
*
I've been using Pana Dect for a long time, currently I have this 2 models:
KX-TG7202ML http://www.panasonic.com.my/web/pid/7057 [been using for 2 years]
KX-TG6512ML http://direct.panasonic.com.my/Products.aspx/Details/1290 [new model just bought in Aug10 PC fair]

I can pair the TM's Dect to both without problem, but I noticed model 7202 still produce slightly better voice & hands-free quality.
Whereas model 6512 seem to have some problem on hands-free and occasionally the other side can't hear me.

I just sent the 6512 set to Pana Service Center few days ago [under warranty], apparently the base unit rosak liao, got power but no signal sent out ! sweat.gif
I not sure whether it's the model problem since both TM's Dect and this 6512 is considered Pana's latest "Eco" model range ....... hmm.gif

I like 6512's keyboard, screen size & the small & light power adapter; but I still prefer 7202's voice & signal quality.

Such a huge size difference between HP Procurve switch and Microtik RB250GS switch.

And they underestimate us. I think they assumed that I guessed the password the first time because it was so simple, so they decided to make it more complex. The PS3 can be hacked using a USB based buffer overflow, Apple products can be jailbroken.. yet to TM, the mighty orange TM DIR-615 password cannot be cracked using any form of technology known to man at this point. The person who decided to lock down the router should have his head checked.

Bro Riz, you did it again, bravo man!! rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

Apparently TM never learn, I'm really puzzled on why they keep wanting to enable the Remote Management over their already messy yet vulnerable network ..... sweat.gif
True enough, whoever that person, I guess his head is indeed squarish one! tongue.gif

Yeah thanks to Riz.

I think they probably want to save the hassle of customer calling them complaining about Internet line issue. With remote management they can set settings on the fly without sending technician to customer house directly. Thats the only reason I can think of, unless otherwise there is some other reason also.

RM 3 per channel per month?

I'm sold! I terminated my Astro for precisely the reason stated above:

I have to subscribe to a BUNCH of channels just to watch something I WANT. Sure, the counter argument is that with Astro you are bound to catch something you like on at least one channel if you channel surf, but as a working adult and parent, if I'm using Astro just to watch news (on tv3) once a day, I feel like it's a waste.

So far, I tend to watch a LOT of Universal and Warner. My wife likes BBC Lifestyle. So if the rumors are true and TM will charge RM 3 per channel per month, I spend an extra RM 9 per month and don't feel like I'm obligated to pay RM 55 just for clearer TV3 and (sometimes) discovery.

Of course, the fact we can watch when it rains is also a bonus...

If the network is down, they can't connect through remotely; and if the network no problem, why they want to connect for?? doh.gif
Not to mention how lousy built that DIR-615 is, I don't think looking at that 615 remotely can do anything better to either support or trouble-shooting yawn.gif

Exactly, it's totally pointless IMO :3 The security tradeoff is not worth the risk.

Anyway this is my final shot at the config.bin exploit before I go to bed. Spent the last 4 hours working on it (reversing the config.bin packing/unpacking process, coding, bleh..) and realized something silly.. the config.bin isn't even encrypted. It only uses gzip compression with some dummy data thrown in :3 It's a compressed XML file biggrin.gif !

user posted image

Don't even have to use RouterPassView anymore.. I made an unpacker in PHP which neatly displays all the needed info after you upload your config.bin to the site tongue.gif

The NAS is at the other end on the row along with the color laser printer. I need to tidy up everything first before showing to people.
hahaha. Colorful cables heh smile.gif

Btw, I have tested the IPTV performance between Procurve and Microtik RB250GS by watching some channels and switching channels. They feel the same on my 29 inch old round CRT TV.

But I can get rid of TM DIR-615 and just use my WRT54GL with TM's ZTE ZXDSL 931. Only 2 hardwares and no need to buy additional VLAN switch.

it think its due to the fact that, the linksys wrt routers with ddwrt the vlan is a little cacated..

apart from that.. those that are using the fiber box they can't use the XDSL modems so its not applicable for them

No. I'm not running OpenWRT/DDWRT. I'm using Tomato without VLAN functionality on my WRT54GL.
If its not VDSL(ZTE ZXDSL 931), then you modem/router might looks like this right?

Can I use TV Card(computer) with unifi IPTV?
I'm planning to use S-Video to RCA cable.

S-Video connect to the set top box and RCA connect to the TV card.

Will it work?

Thanks

Hi bro,

I'll answer my own question. Hahaha
The answer is yes you can, I'm using K-World TV Card and the cable(Yellow/Red/White) that comes in the Set Top Box.
But for audio(Red/White), you'll have to buy 1 more cable to convert it. It looks like this http://www.okokchina.com/p/Fuses-Relays-Sw...ble-423148.html

I'm trying to setup:

Fiberhome --> RB250GS --> TP941ND

My question, how do i secure the RB250GS? I've set it up according to Riz's guide here:

http://unifi.athena.my/index.php?option=co...id=55&Itemid=67

Currently, the default ID is "admin" with "blank" password. Riz'a guide doesn't say anything about changing the password.

Do i need to change anything here to ensure its secure from outside interference?

Plugging in an svideo cable from the svideo output of the set top box, into the s-video input of my capture card works.

For audio I use the white and red RCA cables. If you don't have an S-Video input, I believe you can use the yellow rca on the set top box for (composite) video too?

I've not tried with a "S-Video to RCA" cable. But if you are planning to buy a capture card, why not buy one with s-video input or better still component input. If you already have a capture card with only composite video input, and for some reason cannot use the yellow rca composite video cable, do try the svideo-to-rca cable and let us know.
