RM 3 per channel per month?

I'm sold! I terminated my Astro for precisely the reason stated above:

I have to subscribe to a BUNCH of channels just to watch something I WANT. Sure, the counter argument is that with Astro you are bound to catch something you like on at least one channel if you channel surf, but as a working adult and parent, if I'm using Astro just to watch news (on tv3) once a day, I feel like it's a waste.

So far, I tend to watch a LOT of Universal and Warner. My wife likes BBC Lifestyle. So if the rumors are true and TM will charge RM 3 per channel per month, I spend an extra RM 9 per month and don't feel like I'm obligated to pay RM 55 just for clearer TV3 and (sometimes) discovery.

Of course, the fact we can watch when it rains is also a bonus...

I agree 100%. I dislike Astro for their monopoly.

RM3 / month for Scifi - I am in!!

Going to terminate Astro.

Hi all,

Just got unifi installed few days ago. My house is in a mess, so many wires.

I am thinking of Aztech homeplug solution. I see a few models. The cheapest is Aztech Homeplug Lan 106E (85mbps). Will this work? Is there going to be difference to the 200mbps model?

My condo is a single phase powerline.

Thanks... thinking of stopping by digital mall later.

Either a homeplug or an extended LAN cable...

Are you using the Dlink wifi? If you are, it could be a problem with your wifi. You look connected, but there's nothing going through.

I am using Dlink Wifi, and have been resetting the Zte VDSL modem and router for so many times. IPTV is dead, so is the Voip dial tone. On the ZTE modem, the DSL light is on though, but internet keeps blinking and the VOIP is off.

Called up Unifi helpline... such crap service.

Sigh, 3 days without Unifi... Technician says will come to have a look.

Wonder if I can write to TM to claim for rebate? I am paying RM200 + per month for this service and 3 days is about RM20 ....

My unifi just fixed. Complex problem! The installer linked the unifi port to tmline that was active for streamyx. When the homelike was disconnected, the unifi port went dead! The techician has to decouple the dead homeline from unifi and linked it directly to standalone unifi port. Don't realy understand how he did it but I appreciate his effort to come over on Saturday and he seems to know what's he's doing.
