If you already subscribe for TM auto billing, you need to make sure whether you are entitled for RM2 or RM4 rebate (maybe got different tier). If each of your TM bill exceeds RM67 (for TM RM2 rebate) or RM133 (for TM RM4 rebate), pay through OCBC internet banking is better.

In my case, auto billing gimme more.

For paymaster, maybe you can check with CS?

For the Paymaster, is it eligible to get the TM RM2 rebate?
Or need to register with TM?

I have just received call fr SCB tis evening, offering me Gold Credit Card. I have a al-Saadiq current acc wif em which linked to the Master debit card. I was told just to fill application form & give IC. Other documents (payslips, epf, bankstatements is not required). They tell me annual fee is waived (for 2 years) and I get RM88 cashback once the card is activated. Means I don't have to pay GSTRetail rebate is 0.5% flat. I have surfed SCB website to see the existence of the promo but nt much details bt it. Is it really true tat u get RM88 cashback once ur card is activated, tat u don't even need to pay annual fee or GST. So the card is like free card. I wonder if I want to take the card coz I nt interested wif SCB CC, however they r offering me the card which I dont have to pay annual/GST so its like can give it a try for 1 yr perhaps or let it bcome spare card then cancel it off in the future. Any opinions?

I cannot guarantee but from my previous experience, I use AMEX auto debit service.
TM rebates RM4 for me every month. I'm not sure why now it is RM2 as advertised, maybe got different package or tier.
Theoretically, you can get the rebate as long as it is auto debit.

You do have to pay for the credit card tax. Just that with the free cash of RM88, you do not have to fork out your own money.

No la, don't say that. It's just another segmentation. You know how these days they like to make more segmentations. It started off as PB customer but soon they realized the different needs so I was referred to the PMW.. No consultation fees just like their Private Banking service.

Once you get the card, it means you get RM38 rebate actually. For promotion wise, some dining places offers 15, 25 or even 30% discount. You can see the link below whether there is any dining places you go frequently.
Dining promotions link

From the past 1 year, they offered up to 4 months guaranteed prized contest if you spend a certain of amount a month. The grand prizes are like LCD TV, Mac book, netbook and so on. Guaranteed prize is like iPod shuffle, camera. I believe the same contest will be held again next year due to overwhelming responses this year.

No harm taking it in my opinion. Just an advice, the more cards you are holding, the more debts you will be having unless you can manage your finance very well or pay full every month.

Then I guess RM4 is for taking the combo package.

What i worry is any mistake with the account no.
Since the OCBC paymaster just need account no. only without any other reference to verify.

One thing unique about SCB is that in their application, the said promo will be listed. So no worries ... probability of getting conned is low.
As frequently mentioned .... there's a lot of promo on CC (from all banks) that will never make to the website. Rule of thumb ...
1. Use the website as a basic reference but do understand there might be unlisted promos.
2. Never trust agents / bank rep as they are likely to be all out to get the sale from you. Few can be trusted.
3. If you are in doubt ... ask agent to write promo in the application form (if it is true, they won't hesitate) and give photocopy to you.
4. Don't blame agent/bank when "said" promo does not exist ... ask yourself did you take the precautionary measure or you were just greedy for the "freebies". (Many forummer in here ask which card have freebies ... so you are not applying coz you want the card or card is good but because card has freebies)

I'll wait patiently if one day MBB decide to ease a little on the annual fee.

I'm just wondering if I signup for Auto-debit (TNB) in this case, I pay using OCBC internet banking 1~2 days before the statement date, probably I can still get the 3% rebate :-)
Just that I'm afraid the TM one might void the auto billing discount if you do so.

I don't think you need to worry, just call CS to double confirm it. Since you have 2 TM bills, if the 3% of amount for each bill doesn't exceed the rebate for auto-billing, auto billing still gives you more. Otherwise, I'm not sure whether the above method will work or not.

i'm sure they will, just matter of time. sooner or later they will waive the AF and perhaps even be less stringent in granting the WMC.

To obtain higher credit limit:

1. To prove you have bigger paycheck
2. To be a good paymaster
3. Always spend to reach near the offered limit
