Yes ... you will be eligible for the promotions / discounts in SG. The only I can think of you won't have access to is the EPP.
Using credit card will be marginally higher but you'll be rewarded with rebates and you don't have to carry cash around.

Thanks hye. So even after 1% rebate, using credit card still a lil bit higher than paying by cash right? Maybe should use only when there are promotions/rebates for OCBC cards tongue.gif

Can someone please tell me the MAIN DIFFERENCE between CIMB VI / WMC as compared to DA VI / WMC aside from the fact that DA requires one to be a graduate at least?

Not necessary and it's optional.

Yes, maths can be fascinating but I would prefer they tell me the formula smile.gif
*
The basic formula you want is at the back of your paper credit card statement. All MY banks basically use the same formula. The Wikipedia link below will give you a decent explanation.

In MY context, the most important point is that if you do not pay in full by last payment date, interest will be charged on daily compounded basis from transaction date till date of full payment. That means even if you paid e.g. 50% of your statement balance, interest will be charged AS IF YOU DID NOT PAY ANYTHING until the particular transaction has been fully settled.

If you have BT or cash advance, also note that different banks prioritise payments differently and thus interest charged might be different.

Hi,

What is the difference to do autopay via credit card and via service provider? Will I miss the autopay rebate?

Many thanks.

You can see the formula behind on bank statement... They stated there correctly... If you really want the formula... It comes with excel file... Lolz... No matter how many times you calculate, it is still the same finance that you need to pay. Some CS will waive FC depending on the situation that you encounter, nevertheless if your reason is not valid, of coz they wont waive it for you.. Just my 2 cents...

For OCBC Titanium,
- Will Astro Auto-Billing (via Astro) be considered for the 5% rebate for Utility bills ?

I'll only able to tell you next month as my auto billing start next month. There are a few forumers have already subscribed it last month. Maybe they can tell you this month. Well, I'm positive towards it.

This is indeed a very good promotion and thumbup.gif for OCBC to enable bill payment using credit card rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
But too bad for those registered auto-billing.

For those who had subscribed to OBC PayMaster or Direct Debit, you can always pay much more in advanced via Online, before the direct debit is activated monthly.
This way you get to enjoy the 3% rebate (but you will leave credit in your utility bills)

Agreed.
Before you know it, the promotion will be over @ the end of the year. Might as well prepay a bit more to your bill as you will still use your "utilities" every month. If it save some money then why not?

Best way to enjoy fully the 3%+5% rebate is by paying RM2000 per month in utilities, if you are cash rich ;-)

For Oct, Nov Dec 2010
5% of RM2000 x 3 months = RM300 (rebate cap until end of 2010)
3% of RM2000 x 3 months = RM180

Thus, you pay RM6000 and get back RM480 of free utilities ;-)

After payment then balance transfer to CIMB. It will be like paying your "bill" every month but to CIMB. tongue.gif

OCBC finally approved my Titanium application. Tried to call them to ask credit limit, etc but the wait on their phone reminds me of MBB. sweat.gif

Got my Titanium card today via Poslaju. Card design is not bad, impressed me as much as Amex Gold did. Credit limit for me is a bit less than CIMB but more than MBB. Will cancel MBB and Amex to save on coming GST.
